Oh I'd just love to be able to reach out and grab her and drag her away from him. This video is just heartbreaking. :cry:

I do want to see the rest of the video though. What they've released isn't showing him coming back with coffee, hanging the "do not disturb" sign on the door, or talking to anyone. And why take the backpack & duffel bag to get coffee? :waitasec:

So is must be the clips of him going for coffee? He didn't place the "do not disturb" sign on the room, and he only had one bag with him.

I think what bothers me the most is the fact that he did not turn around and acknowledge Stephany AT ALL. It's like she's possessed or something and just following him in a "state of mind". I find that strange and very disturbing. WTH?

That video is disturbing in so many ways...he is smiling on entry and she is holding her head down and it just seems like she is almost in a trance...can't say that though as we can't see her face...but she just follows along...wonder if she was drugged a little or maybe just embarassed? I dunno...hard to look at and him coming out all calm looking and all.IMO

Geez.........watching that video of that poor girl entering his room is far more disturbing to me than seeing joran paraded. Like a lamb going to slaughter. I can't imagine what her family is going through.

My question is why would she be going to his room? She's a lesbian. Doesn't look like she's inebriated and headed to party. I wonder what he said to lure her.

I also noticed she is always looking down.

Quite a media circus, no? There were a lot of people there. JVDS looks like he's trying to be brave, but is actually terrified. I keep reminding myself he's only 23 years old. In spite of all his bravado and spoiled, bullying personality, he's a man-child. Violent and sick, for sure, but still a young, somewhat inexperienced person who has always relied on others to help him out.

Sorry, I feel no pity for this creature. That disappeared when I read he also beat his dog to death years ago. And I was born and raised in The Netherlands.

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble here, but from all I've been reading and hearing, the extortion and Natalee's case can and probably will be used against him for sentencing in Peru, but with saying that, that's where the extortion involvement ends as well as him telling what happened to Natalee---if he did in fact know. He only used her death as a way to extract money and more or less said so. Him being lock away in a literal dungeon will not afford him the "opportunity" of her again. I think he now sees himself as unfairly treated and will scorn at the thought of ever bringing her name or body forward. Just the way I see him....cold...very cold.

I'm hoping that with Van der Sloot locked up, the Kalpoe brothers will feel safer in disclosing what they know. I see them more as in the wrong place at the wrong time. I could be wrong and they could have been just as involved in Natalee's death. I guess I am hoping that the truth will come out for Natalee's family. And I know it won't come from Van der Sloot.

I've watched the video twice now, and I only see him leaving the room once when he has the striped shirt on with the back pack and duffel bag. When does he return with the two cups of coffee? :waitasec:

I understand. I have no pity for him either, he's a very sick, dangerous person with no respect for human life. I was just expressing the opinion that he has done such terrible things from a very early age and, in spite of his crimes, is still not mature enough to fully comprehend what he's done. I doubt he ever will.

I'd like nothing more than to know the truth of what really happen to Natalee, but don't think the Kalpoe's will come forward now. I think they have had the opportunity to hide whatever they may have known for 5 long years and don't want to stir up their connections again. JMO, but it would be nice if they did...to give some closure to Beth and family.

The video I was watching showed him picking up the key at the hotel desk, both of them going into the room, him coming out of the room with the striped shirt and one bag over his shoulder, carrying another bag, and walking past the hotel desk. It didn't show him coming back in with coffee, or leaving again.

FoxNews is showing it on tv right now. Phil Keating (reporter) calls it the only video LE has released. So, there could be more.

And, Greta will be having a special report tonight on her show.

I think you may want to read between the lines of the media. I think he is a good man....loved his only daughter truly, unmeasurably, as this culture is very family orientated and the men are expected to protect their women, but I also think because of this JVS will pay dearly for it....things we may surely never know. THAT is the real world. JMO

I wonder why the father has not lashed out against Aruba yet.
