The circumstances of her disappearance, make it seem unlikely that she's still alive (especially as 2 people were charged with her murder). But, I suppose it's possible she was abducted for the purpose of child prostitution, as horrific is that is to imagine. And her middle name is Dawn.

Here's another site with an age progression to 28 years (she would have been 23 at the time of MJD's death, I believe). I keep looking at her nose, it's asymmetrical like our girl.

She was pretty petite compared to our girl, and she had a cute upturned nose IMO.

Yes, but she was also a child, so lots could have changed between 1989 and 1999.

You actually nailed something I told the Kansas authorities who are trying to help-I told them having seen the autopsy report, it really did not look like our girl was either on the street long or street walking long...good teeth and healthy.

What about Rachel Mellon?
Date of Birth - 10/13/82
Date Missing - 1/31/96
Missing from - Bolingbrook, Illinois

She's listed as having hazel eyes, they look greenish blue in some photos I've seen and brown in others. She's listed as Asian but she's biracial..mother from the Philippines, father white. She only looks vaguely Asian in certain photos. Rachel's face shape and eyebrows is what keeps bringing me back too her. Her brows could definitely be done to that shape. Plus MJD strongly resembles Rachels biological dad IMO. The step father was the last to see her. There is an entry in her journal a few months prior to her disappearance that stepfather had touched her inappropriately. She was alone with him the day she vanished.

The nose is very different, but they do look alike. good job!

Tabitha has a Tattoo of initals on her ankle so I think we can rule her out

Sgt Pat O'neill is the person in charge of Karen Mitchell's case and he will not be in until Monday. He and I will chat then-I was told that they have some new leads on Karen so it will be interesting to chat with him!!!

Yeah, I later searched some info on Tabitha, and there seems to be a few things that don't match up with MJD.

As I said initially, I was grasping for straws. The hairlines seemed similar, and the date of disappearance and age seemed to play in line with MJD's death.

Rachael Mellon is mixed, Asian and Caucasian, but I really see the Asian in her. I doubt it is her because the nose is way off, IMHO.

This a very credible tip-it puts our girl possibly in Mojave County and as a runaway who had not been on the street very long. As I vet the information, I will post it so we can all watch it unfold together-I can say that if this pans out, our girl had family who loved and missed her very much-and that our girl was all we thought she was...
