Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine case

"We have been informed by Leicestershire police that a meeting between forensic scientists from Portugal and the Forensic Science Service (FSS) will be taking place in Leicestershire in the near future. We understand there is no intention for the McCanns to be interviewed, or indeed anyone else. Such a meeting should not be seen as surprising. We do not see it as a significant development."

Clarence Mitchell, in the Liverpool Daily Post, 29.11.2007

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

"Finally we would like to thank the media for respecting our privacy especially that of Madeleine's little brother and sister."

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

"I have 150 men looking for the girl. At first it was just a missing girl case. Now I can assure you it was a kidnapping. We have evidence of this. Yes, we believe she is still alive and still in Portugal. We do have witnesses. They have given evidence but I can't reveal much more."

Guilhermino Encarnação, Joint Director and head of the Portimao Directory of the Polícia Judiciária, in 'This is London', 06.05.2007

Quote of the Day - Looking back on the Madeleine Case

After a series of telephone conversations with Madeleine's father, Gerry McCann in recent days, the Chancellor requested assistance from the Foreign Office and the Home Office(...) Asked whether Brown had influenced the decision, Clarence Mitchell, a Foreign Office spokesman for the McCann family in the Algarve, said: 'Draw your own conclusions.' He said in a statement: 'I can confirm that telephone conversations have taken place between Gerry McCann and Chancellor Gordon Brown. During them, Mr Brown offered both Gerry and Kate his full support in their efforts to find Madeleine, although details of the conversations will remain private.'

Think about this. Gerry McCann had the support of the Prime Minister of Great Britain, before the Prime Minister had access (if indeed he ever did) to an objective, factual report on the disappearance. From the very beginning, it was assumed that Madeleine had been kidnapped and the McCanns were completely innocent of anything--even neglect--in leaving the children alone in the apartment.

Draw your own conclusions, indeed.

The way Joana Morais on her hate blog refers to Clarence Mitchell tells us exactly what her agenda is.

And there is nothing unusual for citizens to get help from their government when in a crisis abroad.....especially when a child is involved.

The following is from a previous post "sorry the link no longer works" when this very subject was discussed....
General Discussion thread 23. post 557

"The FBI were involved in the Natalee Holloway case ...as much as they were allowed to be by a corrupt ALE.

http://209.85.141.104/search?q=cache:-6vx0oqrtFMJ:www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1426433/posts+FBI+invoved+in+natalee+holloway+investigatio n&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=10&gl=au

Ten more FBI agents arrived in Aruba Saturday, bringing the total to 13. Attorney General Caren Janssen said they were brought in for "technical assistance."
Also, FBI agents were asked to come to Aruba. A US Representative from AL made some pretty strong comments that one does not do under normal circumstances. Here are some interesting (disturbing) comments from U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Vestavia Hills, U.S. Rep. Spencer Bachus, R-Vestavia Hills, said Saturday there were circumstances surrounding Holloways's disappearance that warranted theFBI being heavily involved. He declined to give details. “The circumstances were disturbing,” said Bachus, who formally requested the FBI's involvement. “I can’t get into it, but it’s something the family is aware of. There was an immediate recognition that this was not simply a teen who wandered off.”

And Beth Holloway also met with Condaleezza rice.
******

Gerry McCann may have spoken by phone with then "Chancellor" Gordon Brown.......He wasn't yet "Prime Minister" Texana.

Beth Twitty actually met with Condaleeza Rice.
