That's very kind of you. I had a popsicle stick shoved down my throat yesterday to test for Strep, so I am glad you are out of them. Looks like JA is spreading her germs to us on WS. We need a fresh cleanse. Juan will do the trick! (and those antibiotic horse pills I have to take)

Looks like she not only took the statements, but she tried to submit one of her own. I guess it didn't fly in court. Shocker.

I hope the jurors are mad as hell. I have to give them credit for showing no emotion. But, I really do hope they are getting ticked off at the victim being trashed and not hearing a damn thing about why they should spare JA the death penalty.

I wonder why the DT is not going after these jurors like they did in the original trial? Do they know something we don't? :thinking:

Here is his info on the witness affidavits read in court yesterday. Seems like it was 3.

One witness statement claimed that he had seen Travis holding Deanna Reid down with a restrained wrist and a knee in the stomach by Travis. He had screamed at her that he was not going to marry her. The witness then confronted Travis about what he had seen and Travis had run away.

In another affidavit, it was claimed that the witness had been on a shared computer with Travis. The witness was looking for some engagement photographs and discovered Travis had made a child *advertiser censored* folder which caused the computer to crash due to attached viruses. He said he had confronted Travis or Travis had told him that he owned the photos because he was sexually abused by a man when he was twelve.

Another witness in hiding, who worked as a dishwasher for Arias’ father, said that when Jodi Arias worked there she was friendly as well as artistic. He claimed he saw Arias’ father be abusive to her brother, Carl, at this restaurant. He further claimed to corroborate Bobby Juarez and his coming out with a Samurai sword when confronted about hurting Arias.

Here is what he posted about Maria. Sounds like Maria wrote one of her own affidavits and listed her job credentials. :

Juan Martinez dropped the packet down and picked up the next one. He was no less kind in his objections to having a multiplicity of paragraphs removed. “Maria de la Rosa affidavits are irrelevant. She is the mitigation specialist and this cannot be admitted. If we do admit it, then we need to remove paragraphs one, two, three, seven, eight and twelve. These are all residual doubt,” he stated emphatically.

He (Nurmi) continued. “Maria de la Rosa’s background is relevant in finding grounds for mitigation. This jury has a right to know why witnesses will not appear!” he demanded.

Again, per BK, with some clarification. The secret witnesses spoke to MDLR, who wrote up what they said in affidavits. On the affadavit referred to, and probably on all, MDLR had included her own MS qualifications, and she had written that the affidavits were prepared because the witnesses had been intimidated/feared reprisals.

JM objected to both as irrelevant.

I trust BK, but I also trust Paul Sanders. He was in the courtroom, like BK, and what he wrote were quotes from JM. Take it for what it is worth. Just putting out more info. Seriously, I wouldn't be surprise if MDLR did TRY to submit her own affidavit. Time will tell.

Paul Sander also said in an interview last night with Jen that there is one juror, 17, who looked very irritated at the defense yesterday. He kind of sat with a finger to the side of his face and glared at Willmott. He saw no note taking and said the jury looks overall checked out.

I have a question - why in the world would Maria de la Rosa write an affidavit instead of testifying? She can't claim fear of retribution - she sits in trial every day supporting Jodi Arias. And isn't it somewhat of a conflict since it benefits her career as the world's best mitigation specialist if Jodi does not get the death penalty? She could say anything to further her agenda in an affidavit.

I thought yesterday, and still do, that all of these affidavits were made up by the defense team and somehow they got people to sign them and claim they were factual. Why would anybody not believe that Nurmi is capable of something like this ? He's tried every dirty trick in the book during this trial and this seems like a continuation of those dirty tricks.

Of course, if that is true, then everybody on the defense team should be locked up in jail next to Jodi, and have their license to practice revoked. If these affidavits are a creation of Maria, then she needs to be brought up on charges and jailed.

I wish the judge would simply pick up the phone and call some of these people to see if they actually gave those statements or not......verify for herself if these statements are legit. I think JSS might be very surprised at the results.

BBM: No surprise that Juan objected to these affidavits with MDLR's paw-prints all over them, considering how this so-called "mitigation specialist," who used the name "Cougarlicious" , conducted herself on Social Media regarding this case.

I was so close yesterday to jumping ship, but today I am committed to staying the course until the bitter end.

IF we ever get to Juan's rebuttal witnesses I hope he uses Dr. DeMarte like the DT has used Geff.

I also want Juan to go into more depth with Dr. Demarte about Arias and what her behaviors show. Instead of pounding on Travis being manipulative like the DT has done.... Juan needs to turn it around on them and ask DeMarte if she sees manipulation and abusive behavior when it comes to the defendant. He needs to fight fire with fire.

All I can hope for today is we at least get to see Juan up on cross at some point in order to bring the trial back in focus as to who the real victim is.

She let Jodi make a a three way cellphone call from jail, she's doing Jodi's business, I think she's gone beyond a just relationship with a client. I don't know if Juan can ask her a few questions. I know JW and KN will have a hissy fit.
