ok finally I got them on. The first one is from missing and exploited children site and the second one is from the pictures the dectives released. What do you think?
..and I just realized the girl in the picture I posted might be too slender to be Dorothy. According to her Charley Project page, Dorothy was 5'3" and weighed 130 pounds. The age seems to be right, but then again, Alcala was interested in 14-year olds.

That's an incredible resemblance. Are you going to call it in?
I think he already did. I also sent an Email yesterday to the detective in Orange County mentioning the similarity between the two photos.
Do you know if Alcala ever traveled in Europe?
I think this sign says "Udlejning af cykler" which is Danish for Bike Rental. I don't know what the second line might be.
According to Wikipedia, Rodney Alcala was in jail serving 34 months in the early 70s for an attack on an 8 year old girl. He wasn't released until 1974. The girl you are looking for went missing Sept 20 1973 according to that charlyproject site.
The crime spree and 31-year legal odyssey of serial killer Rodney Alcala, who was sentenced to death by an Orange County judge earlier this year, will be featured on CBS news "48 Hour Mystery" in its season premier episode on Saturday.
