Former employees of the mall, a policeman, have come forward to state that Moore was actually banned or put on a "watch list" by the Gadsden mall because he was harassing young girls. A total of 9 women have now come forward with accounts of sexual assault, groping, unwanted advances.

Accused pedophile Roy Moore just told us in front of a crowd of supporters: "We need to return to our moral values." The new face of the GOP?

Victim blaming by the candidate and the clergy.

"In Alabama, Moore appeared alongside more than a dozen religious leaders, who took turns bashing the Christian conservative's many critics — especially his female accusers.

"This is a man who does not lie. Compare that to his accusers," charged Gordon Klingenschmitt of the group Pray in Jesus' Name.

With Moore looking on, Klingenschmitt quoted the Ten Commandments in a message aimed at two women he called out by name — one has said she was 14 and the other that she was 16 when Moore initiated sexual contact as a district attorney in his 30s.

"Thou shalt not bear false witness," Klingenschmitt declared. ~http://www.carrollcountytimes.com/n...e-alabama-senate-race-20171116-story,amp.html

Corroboration and the candidate is not talking about it. Those who defend him or are politically aligned aren't talking about it either. The difference between other perpetrator's accountability and victim/survivor's being believed is absurd and sad.

He talked her at work, called her at school, forcefully kissed her....

"Richardson, whose account was corroborated by classmate and Sears co-worker Kayla McLaughlin, is among four women who say Moore pursued them when they were teenagers or young women working at the mall — from Sears at one end to the Pizitz department store at the other. Richardson and Becky Gray, the woman who complained to her manager, have not previously spoken publicly. The accounts of the other two women — Wendy Miller and Gloria Thacker Deason — have previously been reported by The Washington Post." ~https://www.washingtonpost.com/inve...689a9f2d84e_story.html?utm_term=.97d3344f4652

This is interesting....https://www.nytimes.com/2017/11/17/us/roy-moore-judicial-record.html

Gives a better sense of how Moore viewed sexual assault and how he handled it on the bench. Maybe this will put a dent in his support in his state.

"During the Republican primary this year, Mr. Moore’s opponent, Senator Luther Strange, released an advertisement condemning the chief justice’s dissent in support of Eric L. Higdon, a teenager convicted of sexually assaulting a younger boy at a day care center and sentenced to 23 years in prison.

“Unbelievably, Roy Moore was the only ‘no’ vote in the 8-1 decision,” the advertisement said as images of children flashed on the screen and ominous music played in the background.

In that dissent, Mr. Moore put forth a legalistic argument that while Mr. Higdon was guilty of one form of sodomy, another sodomy law used to convict him was never meant to apply to abuse “of children by other children.” Mr. Moore wrote that “sodomy is an abhorrent crime and should be strictly punished” but that “I am concerned the court is stepping into the shoes of the legislature in this case.”

As voters prepare for the Dec. 12 special election — in which Mr. Moore will be on the ballot come what may — here is a breakdown of The Times’s coverage on the race since the accusations emerged.
In recent days, several other dissents by Mr. Moore in sex cases have been highlighted, including at least two in which he questioned the application of Alabama’s shield law for sexual assault victims, which limits the ability of defendants to introduce evidence of the victim’s past sexual behavior."

He is clearly more soft on sexual assault/sodomy. Why?

The governor of Alabama, Kay Ivey, said she believes Moore's accusers but plans to vote for him anyway. She will not reschedule vote, an idea contemplated by the GOP.

I am copying a post I put on the Franken thread where people shared articles on child sexual abuse survivors/victims who may have been experienced sexual gratification during their abuse. These experiences can cause shame and doubt on the part of the survivor as they feel they may be held responsible for the abuser's actions. I think it pertains to here because people often say the teens may be entering a relationship or encounter willingly or didn't make it stop. We miss the point of an adult with a child using power, persuasion and possible raising of social status to further the abusive relationship. I believe that Moore thought (grossly wrong) that he was attractive to these young women, when, in fact, he was/is an ephebophile or one who is attracted to young people before the age of 16 and just developing sexually.

my post--"One of my concerns in reading some of the links is that people who want to normalize being attracted to teens (ephebophiles) can often claim that the sexual pleasure or continued engagement of the young person (male or female) is b/c they wanted it. When in truth for many or most, they acquiesced from the same position that you stated-- they were groomed in all aspects and were confused/ashamed at how these experiences felt. Milo Yiannopoulos caused his stir when he heralded his experiences and it took a national excoriating to get him to recognize the issues within his own experiences. Roy Moore has the same issues in my opinion. This is a reason the age of consent should be greater than 17, IMO. I am not saying that the articles point to this but we know that people can pervert information to suit their desires."

Allegations against Alabama’s Roy Moore dividing GOP women

SMH.

ETA: Sorry, this was already posted...but it just makes me sick.

There is nothing horrific enough is there. Even pedophilla is OK now.

The US has not passed laws prohibiting child marriage. And child sex a use laws are very lax, I feel. I wonder if there is a lot more to this than I ever realized.

We cannot even rely on woman to confront child sex abuse.
