But you at least have remnants of the cord and tape you used. There were NO tape remnants and NO cord remnants anywhere in the Ramsey house that matched the tape and cord found on JonBenet. The cops turned the house inside out but found none. The closest they came was some black tape on the back of a picture that had been professionally framed, but that tape was not Shurtape brand.

Since the whole thing was staged anyway, perhaps they just kept typing the cord they had until there wasn't any left. The piece of tape was small. I am guessing they used a used piece of tape. Grabbed it off of something around the house. Maybe a box or something in the garage?

The cops traced the Shurtape brand black duct tape found on JonBenet to its plant of manufacture in Hickory, North Carolina (hometown, incidentally, of jameson). It was determined the tape was from a batch manufactured in late November of 1996, which means it found its way across the country and was used in the murder of JonBenet only about a month after it was manufactured.
