The Crockpot - Case Related

I can remember during the 70's living in San Francisco, there was a lot of scary gossip about Synanon (which this person is associated with) being a nefarious cult to stay away from. It is the idea that he uses Synanon techniques that raises red flags for me. I couldn't help but notice a number of males who have been murdered over the years on LI, and except for the tranny found near the GB4, I don't see these murders being the work of the person who killed the four women. A bisexual killer would make sense for all the male bodies, and if that SK has left LI or the states, with a lot of money he will never be caught and can continue his killing in other countries.

LE should release a piece of the phone call that the LISK killer made to Melissa Barthelemy's little sister in July-August 2009!.
(I`m 99% sure that LE recorded some of those phonecalls)

THAT would cause a HUGHE media kick, and i belive LOTS of people pay interest and attention to the case, not to mention that somone might recognize the killers voice.

I know one reason why they don´t do that, is that they would probably get
1000nds of people calling in saying that the voice is their neighbor's, relative's, x-husband's etc. etc. etc, however I think they should do it anyway.
IMHO, It´s probably their best lead. And no doubt their best chance to get the case up front in the media.

One would hope that SOMEBODY was recording these calls. I'd think putting snippets of the calls in the media would be a great move forward. Didn't the Unibomber get caught because the NYT released his manifesto in the paper and his very own brother recognized the Unibomber's unique way of phrasing things?

Question is, did they record the calls legally. If not, are they allowed to release the recordings? I confess that I don't know the answer myself...

I don't know many details about SY. But when it comes to the bi-sexual angle, re: men found near Manorville, I have read about another missing guy who disappeared after he set up a random meeting with a man at one of the popular hookup sites between LIE Exits 68 and 70.

I also found that Jones Beach Parking area 6 is a well known hookup site for gay men.

If it is the same man who is responsible for some of the women, he is probably not responsible for any of the GB4.

I'm not really sure where to put this, so I'm putting it here. There is a missing 22 year old woman from Philly that reportedly left for Atlantic City in mid March with her boyfriend and has not been heard from since. Her family is indicating that she may be engaged in prostitution. Her missing thread is here (but there aren't many more details available) [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=167189"]PA PA - Franchesca Alvarado, 22, Philadelphia / Atlantic City NJ, 17 March 2012 - - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

It also could be if LE uses a call in the media the prosecutor might not be able to use it in court. Don't know for sure.

Not much to go on in this case, but hope she is ok somewhere. A major red flag, however, is that her family has stated her phone is no longer working or is turned off. Also, on her missing forum page, posters have stated they checked BP South Jersey and have not found any ads posted. Which likely means if she did go down to AC to escort, she is trolling the casinos and hotels for clients. Casinos and hotels are one step away from working the track, which is where the AC4 were working

seems several posters are getting a little bit testy...

I guess just because there is no real news

Good point!

I still think *Maybe* that the killer altered his voice during the phone calls and/or pre-recorded his narrative for the calls.

Hmmmmm, This thread is turning out to be interesting.

And MrsPC, learning tonight about the tug boat captain has given me hope this case will be solved. LE has to know ALLOT, right?

Police arrest accused hot dog truck hooker

(05/04/12) EAST ROCKAWAY - A 45-year-old East Rockaway woman faced a judge today on charges that she's a prostitute.

Police say Catherina Scalia used a hot dog truck in a parking lot along Sunrise Highway in Baldwin to solicit customers.

According to police, Scalia offered sex for money to an undercover detective at her home last night.

Scalia was arraigned this morning.

Brilliant! Just order the "cheese dog with ALL the fixins"
Already sleuthed it, she was arrested for doing the same thing back in Dec 2004, oh how I love Long Island. Just when I thought I had top ranks for most absurd sex in a vehicle... (watch your head, the periscope will give you stitches)

Boy if it turns out she was strangled on or around May 1st, we may have a real Ginger Bread man on our hands... more likely just another OD.

SCPD is saying that it's a homicide.

I believe this is the shopping center with the McDonald's a little bit past the Peconic Bay Medical Center.

ok 2 things: this "Hot Dog Hooker" isn't the brightest criminal on the island, selling sex and hot dogs at the same time is a sure fire way of being caught, it's almost like she was baiting the police. That's like selling selling donuts and trying to upsell your customers with crack, you are bound to come across LE. That aside, lord if I am wrong about the LISK case (and we both know I am not) please let this woman be the killer who is intent on wiping her competition off the streets, it would make the best worst movie ever, maybe even better worser than "The Steam Experiment" with val kilmer.

:puke:

OMG, is this more absurd logic or reality? We never heard any follow up to the woman found burning in her SUV in Smith Town. What is happening over there? Then there was that other guy burning to death in his car...now this guy...gets in a car wreck and ends up floating away...some odd stuff happening over there in Smithtown.

OOPSY!! It is a 48 Year Old TUGBOAT CAPTAIN....fell off his boat off the Rhode Island coast...humph! How'd he end up in Montauk. Wonder what his name is?

First let me say, I am not referring to the mid-aged woman who OD'd and was dumped by three or four of her "friends" in Manorville.

Since that event, another woman was found dead just a little ways out of the parking lot to another LI shopping center. This was after the Manorville OD. Has there been any follow-up on that death?
