Ray_of_hope, I'm not so sure that would be a very effective strategy of ruling out RSOs when there is a lost child which may wander right up to the RSO's doorstep seeking help.. They may want to rethink this strategy in the future, imo..

In the news briefing this afternoon a reporter stated that at least 2 RSO's had not been contacted and questioned. Their response was they had ankle bracelets and they knew where they were Thursday night. I have known in the past of ankle bracelets being removed and put back on so the person could leave and do whatever and come back home. I felt that was a lame excuse to not have visited and questioned these 2 RSO's. JMO

Also they said they visited and questioned all the RSO's in that county and surrounding counties.

Yes, the bold faced lie by LE is disheartening to say the least. It was a while back, but I went to high school in a jail town where there were many young men out on furlough, wearing "ankle bracelets." It was a rare night that at least a few of them didn't show up to house parties, sans ankle monitor, never to be reported as escaped. I don't trust those things one bit.

Forgive my incessant posting/linking tonight, but I've been trying to wrap my head around the terrain, being someone who's lived in the NE U.S. And Canada, and I know a lot of us have wondered. This link has video and pics of what the terrain in that area is like. It helped me to imagine the climate and conditions more. http://www.jacksonsun.com/story/new...oods-sinkhole-near-noah-search-area/79075288/
I posted this handbook on the first thread and apparently East Tennessee has more problems than West Tennessee, but it had clear explanations and illustrations. I didn't know if you'd find this helpful or not. https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/environment/attachments/geology_sink-hole.pdf

Hi! My first post since I was on here during the Caylee Anthony case!

I read early on in SM that someone suspected Noah did have autism. One lady said she was a family friend and was around Noah during Christmas and suspected he might have autism. -- Strictly SM so no proof and I don't want to start any rumors!

But, when I saw in the PC yesterday (?) that a Behavorist was brought in it made me wonder... I used to work as an ABA Therapist for kids with Autism and one of the big concerns was their tendency to wander off. And children with autism may not respond as expected in this sort of situation which would make the expertise of a behavior specialist quite useful. IMO!

Anyways, I'm still holding out hope and praying the new lead will bring Noah home!

" he was "rambunctious and a handful" from the presser. He was 2 how far could he have gotten in 1 minute ?

This has really tore me up. I have had bad dreams and flashbacks to my own childhood in the concrete jungle. It was only by the grace of God I made it through my youth without something terrible happening to me. I feel just horrible for that grandma most of all think of the guilt she must feel. I am so sorry.

I wanted to buy a leash for my daughter she was also a hndful and when we took her out to open markets like Traders Village in Grand Prarie texas she would run off down the rows in a split second. She must have had an angel watching over her too.

That poor sherrif, I could see he is loosing faith finally after 8 days. All I can say is I hope we learn from this and keep our kids closer to us than ever.

I know this is a terrible thought to share, especially at bedtime... but I keep wondering if there are wild hogs in those woods. I live in the southeast. My husband has a camera set up to capture pictures of the critters that move around on our property and we very often capture images of wild hogs, even though we have never actually seen one other than on the camera. Those things are ferocious!

On the interview tonight the sheriff said that the family knew their property well and so did Noah. He said it wasn't unusual for them to run up and down those trails. That would place his scent on those trails in different locations if he had been out there recently or the day before. Could it be possible that the grandmother had become too comfortable with this and let him run ahead while she stopped with the granddaughter and she lost sight of him because either was way ahead or way behind them. This would explain why she didn't see him disappear or didn't hear him wonder off in the leaves.

Good point. This made me think of when my kids were in school. I remember there being this little boy who was autistic in class with my daughter. I think they were in kindergarten or first grade. He ran off from school and ran home! Thank God he didn't live too awful far from the school and his Mom was home at the time. I hate to think of what could have happened to him! I remember the scare he gave everyone!

Just wanted to say good night and I sure hope tomorrow will finally be the day Noah is brought home... Not losing interest at all, still following, but don't have much to say. What I did lose is hope, I guess... There's still a tiny spark left because miracles do happen. I don't believe in any other theory than an accident happened to him in those woods. What a heartbreaking case...

Thanks to all who posted updates here today.

(Just getting in and caught up )

This is fantastic. Thank you.

Good night JanetElaine. I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day as well. I have lost some hope too. Still trying to hold on to what little I have left. After the news briefing this evening it's hard not to lose hope.

Also from the above link:

"There are two tracks that lead from the flat farmland above the creek — a foot-wide trail or through a sinkhole. The sinkhole, a product of erosion from heavy rains, has washed away the solid ground beneath tree roots above the creek.

"It's a lot heavier country there than it is here," Wooley said.

A few yards away, the trail slopes steadily downhill, and the path is covered with briers, blending with brush and covered in sharp points. The briers stick out about two feet above the ground leading toward the creek."

"PINSON — Hills, ruts and deep creeks dot the area where 2-year-old Noah Chamberlin went missing six days ago.

Madison County Sheriff's Office spokesman Tom Mapes helped arrange for a local resident to show The Jackson Sun what the terrain looks like near the search area and an example of a sinkhole. The section of woods our reporter and photographer viewed is not in the area being searched but is similar terrain. The sinkhole shown was described as minor compared to the size of some of the ones in the search area.

Resident Charles Wooley said the area is covered in rough terrain with sharp inclines and declines in the hills.

"This isn't as rough, not as steep, as what they're (the searchers) in out there," Wooley said. "If you could imagine this ditch, but double it and triple it.""

Eta: sorry if already posted, still catching up

"Chester County Sheriff Blair Weaver, who has led the search and rescue operation, has said he believes that Noah is still in the woods near Short Road in Pinson.

In the area the Sun viewed Wednesday, about a mile from Short Road in Chester County, sinkholes have formed on the side of a hill, just above a drainage creek.

"This is mostly farmland here, and we've got some rolling hills," Wooley said. "They're in a whole other world.""

Welcome back LaVidaBaby :)

I've been following this disappearance for days. I cannot shake the feeling that he was hurt in someway. <modsnip> Poor Noah. I hope you come home safe baby! Prayers.

Hi all. First time posting in this particular thread. I'm an hour and a half outside Pinson, I'd like to go volunteer to search, but I can never tell when they need volunteers. Does anyone have a link on the most up to date information

He's two. I have a child. I remember him being two. At that age he was running wild and like many two year olds, would escape if you weren't careful. Being "wobbly" doesn't mean you can't move, it just means you'll fall a lot, and that's something two year olds do all day without caring. They just get up and keep on moving. Some two year olds have good footing, especially if they play outside a lot and get used to walking and playing in rough terrain, which it appears he did.

People have already mentioned the sink holes and crevices other things he could have fallen into. Have you been in west TN woods? I have. They're nuts. The police aren't blind to this. If anything, west TN police tend to get really bad reps as being lazy and incompetent, but this force has done an amazing job. They were out quickly and utilized every tool they could find and interviewed the family, near by registered sex offenders, had helicopters and anything else they could use.
