Toddler's Mother/Peaches/Jane Doe #3

I see an E and then what looks to be a star.
T and either an 8 or B. Then either a backwards R or A. The last two letters look much larger and they are harder to decipher. The E and what I believe to be a star are spaced further away from the three letters. Could the peach have been a cover up tattoo for these initials?

So, I see either 1) E star T8R 2) E star T8A 3) E star TBA 4) E star TBR

If it were to cover, looks like the tattoo or leaf would have been placed slightly further down so the thick black ink of the outline would have covered the initials better. The initials may have been there first.

I checked Georgia as well and didn't see anything. I noodled around with the tattoo image as well and I think the last two characters are "BB". The first looks like a "t" but why would it not be capitalized like the other too. Could it be a capital "C"? CBB?

Reading that the Tattoo Artist said she was from the Bronx, and on a wild (maybe goose chase) I typed Peaches, and Bronx into google.
a couple of interesting results popped up.

PEACHES STRIP CLUB in the Bronx
BRONX PEACHES ESCORT SERVICE (backpage)
both results are difficult to follow to a actual brick and mortar building

And that's the trouble with the tattoo artist; he changed his story -significantly.

A Connecticut tattoo artist recognized the picture and remembered the girl he had given it to, a young black woman, aged 16-30, visiting from Long Island. She came into his shop with her aunt and cousin, and she mentioned something about having boyfriend problems.

He even remembers the woman — a light-skinned African-American about 21 years old. Visiting from the Bronx, she came into his East Main Street shop on a Saturday night two decades ago with a female friend who lived in the area. They mentioned going to a party in East Hartford later.

Cullen dropped a bombshell. The girl with the tattoo — who seemed sweet, educated and easy to talk with — told him she was from Bristol.

Though he said he’d told the police in New York that Bristol was her hometown long ago, in all of the extensive coverage of the so-called “Peaches” murder, that key detail had never been mentioned before.

Cullen said she and her friend were both between 19 and 23 when he met them. They were in a really good mood, he said.

Looks like the pic may be the same photograph, just a large version of the very small tattoo, 2 inches. We don't know of course, if "Peaches" is the same young lady visiting the tattoo artist in Bristol. SAC does not mention any lettering or covering an existing tattoo. So I keep an open mind.

Some bruising visible next to the tattoo.

So she might've been born in Bristol and was living in the Bronx? I read somewhere else he said Long Island but can't remember.

I posted this once but think I deleted my own post. I'm good like that lol. Flipping the pic over I see a ?91. Or ? 81 .

When going down the TBP rabbit hole last week, I also thought maybe TBP stood for The Bristol Press and it was something like a copyright watermark kind of add to the photo when they published it but I don't think that anymore.

*scratches off list*

Hello everyone, I'm new here :)
Looking at the tattoo, I think the peach might very well be a cover up tattoo. As for the original tattoo, the initials, I don't see letters. I see numbers. 168 to be precise. Homemade/unprofessional work maybe, that's why it looks scratchy. Anyways, reading up on meanings of peaches and the number 168, I find that in Chinese culture, peaches are associated with wealth, health, abundance and longevity.
And according to the Urban dictionary:
the number 168
when spoken in chinese is "yi lieu ba" which sounds very similar to "yi lu fa" which means one road of prosperity. the number 168 is accoated with good luck and fortune also.

So the meaning of the number 168 fits the meaning of the peach. The peach might be an upgrade.

Just a thought

looks like it could say TBB. But honestly not sure that it says anything at all. could just look like lettering.

I believe the ripe peach represents the ripe innocence of youth and the bite with the tear shaped juice or tear represents the shattered innocence. Possibly she was molested as a teenager and ran away from the abuse only to become another victim of the sex trade. A beautiful peach by itself is desireable and tantalizing but once it has been bruised or damaged by being bitten then it can no longer return to the original beautiful state of innocence and purity. The tear represents death of innocence possibly. A cry of innocence or the loss of purity by cause of pain and heart ache at a 'ripe' young age. But there is still a possibility that it was a non-meaningful fluke or a drunken night of irresponsible behavior or a dare. Teenage girls sometimes will dare eachother to get tattoos. Maybe it is a matching tattoo and her best friend has one too. Possibly a pimp identification as well. So many possibilities.

I live close to where Pamela Graddick was found and I don't think she's related to Cherries' case. She was found on the west side of the county and Cherries as far east as you could go. I believe Pamela was abducted and killed then dumped there right off the parkway.

There is one case I wonder about. Pamela Braddick went missing from the Bronx August 2012. Her remains were found a month later on the boarder of Yonkers and Bronxville. Westchester Co. Cherries was found in Mamaroneck in Westchester Co. About 7 miles apart. A local said the killer must know the area. Its not a place someone would accidently find. She was last seen near Yankee Stadium. She went shopping with a friend at the Gateway Mall. Thats where they parted ways.

It looks like TBB to me. Also, the middle B seems to be larger than the other letters. Could that B be the last initial of the person? Kind of like a monogram?

To be honest Bessie, I believe the initials people are seeing in the peach tattoo is pareidolia.

New word for the day:
"Pareidolia is a type of illusion or misperception involving a vague or obscure stimulus being perceived as something clear and distinct. For example, in the discolorations of a burnt tortilla one sees the face of Jesus.

Got to agree it's just the attemp of leaf vein design by an amateur artist. Think people are reading in to this cheap tattoo far too much. Sometimes it's just what it is and nothing more.

Gave it another try and sharpened up the leaf without adding any more noise. I worked with PS CC15 and Topaz:

Steps

Layer
High pass filter, radius 3 pixels
Topaz Denoise in Topaz labs, higher value smooth
Smart sharpen in PS
Settings amount high, radius3, noise low 5
Linear blending mode into linear light opacity 55
Flatten

While I'm not sold on it being letters I do feel it almost looks like the bite is part of it. Like the tail of the r or whatever it is almost looks like it connects to the "bite" cause if it has a bite shouldn't it be missing a chunk and not looking so whole?
