That is not proven anywhere that I have seen. Please provide a link. That is rumor at this point from what I have seen.

The fact that Tracy Morgan is a major celebrity is irrelevant to this man's negligence. I think we've got a vehicular manslaughter case here.

softail, did you see the remark on his twitter profile that was quickly removed after the "accident"?

'Trying to win more than lose! Driving trucks for a living it's my road move or get hit (sic) #Walmart.'

and the fact that walmart is denying that's his account is just pathetic.

The actor, who was involved in a New Jersey highway collision that claimed the life of veteran comedian James McNair and left four injured, remains hospitalized in critical condition, but E! News has learned that the star's medical team is hopeful of his recovery.

"Today was a better day," Morgan's rep said in a statement to E! News. "While Tracy remains in critical, but stable, condition, he continues to show signs of improvement...

(CNN) -- Though still in critical-but-stable condition, Tracy Morgan is continuing to show signs of improvement, his publicist said Thursday.

"Today was a better day," Lewis Kay said, adding that Morgan's medical team remains optimistic that his recovery is progressing...

The above posted link is from June 13th.

Tracey has had major trauma plus a major surgery to repair a broken femur. In addition to the broken bone, several things I've read indicate he may have also had crush-type injuries to that leg. Plus we do not know if he had a closed fracture or an open fracture.

There are several very serious complications associated with a broken femur. He will need to be kept on IV blood thinners for several weeks due to the risk of blood clots. Another risk is compartmental syndrome. And there are others.

The broken ribs are highly painful. He likely has a PCA (patient controlled analgesia) pump. Due to the need for numerous IVs he likely will have had an indwelling subclavian catheter placed. He may have received blood transfusions during the surgery for the femur fixation and depending on his post-surgical daily blood counts may need further transfusions.

Depending on how many, how and where they are broken he may need further surgery to fixate broken ribs. Usually a broken nose requires surgery.

He is a multiple trauma patient and will likely remain in either ICU or an Orthopedic "step down" unit for several weeks to come. What with all of the above, he needs the close monitoring.

I wish him the best in his recovery.

"Happy to pass along that Tracy has been upgraded to fair condition, which is a great improvement," publicist Lewis Kay said in a statement. "His personality is certainly starting to come back as well."

This is from the above linked article. It gave me a chuckle.

Sounds like he is progressing well.

"An attorney for Tracy Morgan says the former “Saturday Night Live” actor is having a tough time recovering from a June accident on the New Jersey Turnpike that left a fellow comedian dead."

"Attorney Benedict Morelli tells The Star-Ledger newspaper that Morgan relies on a wheelchair and it may be months before he can fully walk again. Morelli says Morgan appears to be making progress, but it will be a month before he is assessed “cognitively.”
