No. I've been unable to get ahold of Naomi's brother (i.e., the one that I've been talking to), and the Cedar Rapids PD is not willing to discuss. I've also called TX-DPS to find out whether the family ever submitted the DNA FRS kits, and they don't know.

There's nowhere else I can go with this one.

you did what you could. what a damn shame no one else seems to care as much as you and other websleuthers do.

I totally agree! What a shame. Hopefully things are rolling on behind the scenes....

Oh, for goodness' sake! Carl and Believe have done all the work for the PD (finding and contacting the family; liaising with other PDs) and it would take LE only a little effort to conclude this one way or another! What PD doesn't want their solved case rate improved? I'm quite speechless. Well done Carl, though.

UID DNA:

Status: Samples submitted - Tests not complete

CarlK, have you submitted this information to Dr. D at Harris County Forensic's?

No, I just submitted it to TXDPS, and Cedar Rapids PD.

I think it would be a good idea. TXDPS seems to be only acting on family, ME or LE request (from my experience). If not, I can ask Lyssav to submit it for you.

I sort of lost interest in Naomi as a possible match to this case when I saw that the revision to the NamUs casefile indicating that the Jane Doe had a gap between her two front teeth, and although Naomi's photo is a bit out of focus, it doesn't appear that she has such a gap.

But if you want to get a positive ruling on it, Go ahead.

Has Beverly Ann Bealer or Jennifer Joyce Barton been compared to this doe yet?

I just made a comparison for Beverly but then I see that Namus has her at 5'7" whereas Doe Network has her at 5'4" to 5'6". Quite a bit different now that I see that, here it is anyways.

Both cases have dentals according to Doe Network. It should be easy for LE to compare the two
