GUILTY TX - Jackson Farrey, 6 mos, El Paso, 15 Nov 2013

WHY would they do that with their babies?
Did these kids not have grandparents, or family of any kind?
Or why not give them up for adoption then kill yourselves if you want?!
WTF?! :stormingmad:

NC9 Exclusive: Missing El Paso family allegedly leaves behind suicide note

Oh for the love of.... those poor kids. And dog.

That article clears up Jeff's position

Fort Bliss officials confirmed that Specialist Jeffrey Farrey is a soldier stationed at Fort Bliss and assigned to the 1st Armored Division.

That would seem to support SamanthaL's earlier suggestion that his unit may have suspected there were problems.

Bumping my own post.. I didn't have time to watch the videos but might be worth it if someone does get a chance?

In the process of learning more details, the ABC-7 I-team discovered Jenna Farrey plead guilty to child endangerment in January. She didn't serve prison time, though.

Multiple video diaries are online, including two titled "Army wife blog," leading the ABC-7 I-team to call Fort Bliss. A spokesman confirmed Jeffrey is assigned to the First Armored Division and missed formation Friday. Jeffrey also didn't respond to calls or texts. That's when his squad leader went to his home to check on him. The Army spokesman says no one would open the door. So the squad leader called the landlord to gain entry into the home.

Seems this couple had problems. But to take your kids and dog with you? I'm appalled. But of course I don't know the whole story. Trying to hold judgement until more is revealed. Not easy though, I'm really pissed.

I just hope they couldn't go through with it!

Why would you leave a note and drive somewhere to commit suicide? Baffling.

As usual, I'm coming in late on this case. He may very well be employed by a private contractor as a civilian guard. Fort Jackson, SC uses a private firm for security gates and patrols. If he and his family just up and left, AWOL wouldn't apply.

No, to sounds like he was active duty from what I'm reading. Ft. Jackson still uses security and private firms? They aren't supposed to. My husband is an actual Federal Police Officer for a Base and they do all patrol and gates. Their is no contractors anymore at the majority of bases for LE functions. He's catogerized as a Department of Defense Employee and they all are supposed to be. And that's off topic so that's all I will comment on that.

On her FB, no pics of dogs. But several pics of cats. The babies are adorable....I pray they just set this up so they could disappear because of legal/money problems...:please:

Just my opinion of course. I wonder if something happened to baby Jackson, and the suicide note was just to keep people off their trail while they "handled" it. At this point, the suicide note itself, shows they all left together, so I can't imagine what they have to say about the situation.

I wonder if they sold the baby. I didn't think they would kill themselves...

Another thought, when was the last time the baby was seen alive??

Oh my God. What happened? Where is that baby? Did they kill it first and were stopped before they could go on with their plan? Hope he is found safe too!

I don't think they ever planned to commit suicide. I think there was child abuse resulting in death, and the suicide note was a pretext to disappear. And I think someone should be treating the house as a crime scene and looking for signs of foul play.

I agree!! Oh goodness....Elizabeth Johnson.....now we're going to play "where's the baby"??Praying the child is ok also....

Hindsight...CPS should have been involved. An in depth assessment/evaluation of the family needed to occur. Necessary services needed to be wrapped around the family.
So sad.
