GUILTY TX - Maria 'Isabel' Romero Medina, 27, slain, 4yo abducted, Denton, 13 Dec 2014

From what I can gather from friends and family in Den Co, there's not much out there regarding this kid.

Says a customer came by and found the door locked even though it was during normal business hours. Another employee came and unlocked the door and found her deceased inside. I drove past around 11 tonight and there was still a bit of police activity inside. I wonder how much lead time this guy got?

No telling... I hope the business has security cameras.
I saw someone had mentioned the incorrect street on the reports. Should be 1111 E. McKinney like you stated earlier.

I'm a bit confused the news reports say after Mom was found dead Saturday afternoon, yesterday (13th)

But the AA says missing since 12th http://www.missingkids.com/poster/AMBER/11690/8288/screen Plus I saw it under a google search that says this

AMBER Alert: Have you seen this child? Ricardo Lara
www.missingkids.com/poster/AMBER/11690/8286
2 days ago - The suspect, Ricardo Lara Martinez, is believed to be involved in the child's abduction. The suspect was last heard from in Denton, Texas

So did they have a 24 hour head start? Or was Ricardo reported missing on Friday? If so by whom?

Nope, the AA came out last night about 8 or 9 pm, CST. So my guess is that mom's not been seen since Friday and when they found her at work and realized the boy was missing, they realized hes' been missing over 24 hrs. Yes that's a big head start. I wonder why they feel he is still in Denton area?

Re: the Murder of his mother -Just an observation ...
http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2014/12/13/4-year-old-denton-boy-missing-after-mothers-found-dead/

His mother was found dead at her place of employment, Sanchez Insurance and Tax, in the 1100 block of East McKinney Street Saturday evening.

Denton Police have not released the victim’s name.

She was found after a customer tried to enter the business but the doors were locked, although it was during business hours.

An employee of the business came to the location and found the victim’s body inside the business.

Police responded to the deceased person call at Sanchez Insurance and Tax around 5 p.m.

Who ever did this had a set of keys to the business or took her keys
The Locked door- that is a storefront door that must be locked with a key from the outside
or locked it from inside (normally there is a 360 turn knob to do so -deadbolt)

I would assume the backdoor is a standard solid commercial business door
locking may be the same or a push button or turn locking system

Perp could either
1. Have a set of keys to business
2. went in locked front door went they(he/she) went in to murder her -went out the back and was able to lock back door
3. stole murdered mothers keys to door lock

Also I can only see 1 camera but it seems to only be pointing toward Hair Salon on the google image map

Ugh, I was wondering last night but did not look until just now. The b**** on this guy....... I fear much more for this boy now than before.

Sheriff, jail and courthouse are literally two blocks away. Denton is NOT a huge town. This guy had to have known he was ' allegedly' committing a murder that close to big concentrations
of LEO's. :(

Look just to the east of the location of the business where mom was found.

I wonder if the co-worker knows if it was common for the mom to bring Ricardo to work with her on the weekend? If so, I'm sure the dad knew he would find them there together. Oh my, I pray that little boy didn't witness his mother's murder. Otherwise, he had to take him from a relative's house & I wonder if they thought maybe that was why it was part of a bigger crime at first. It doesn't sound like they found anyone else murdered though. If they were on foot, someone had to be waiting for them somewhere or he had a vehicle hidden.

Anyone know why it says the child was reported missing Sat. Morning even though Mom wasn't found dead until that evening?

Quote:
Richard Alekzander Lara was reported missing Saturday morning.

This is my best guess as to the differing time lines. That once they found her and realized how long it had been , they wanted people to know the baby has been missing many hours BEFORE anyone actually was aware he was missing.

Since the 911 call was about 5p there is a M.E. determination that might lend a clue as to the approx TOD... that would be 1 scenario on stating he had been missing hours before the 911 call was made..

** Speculative** a lot of insurance and tax offices are open mon to fri , banking hours, so to speak. If this office was NOT open on Saturday , then one could assume TOD ( not definite ) from when the office should have closed at 5 pm on Friday, without an ME. Again, just speculating.

It's so quiet, the local media, here on ws, everywhere. There is a missing baby in the company of a murder POI/suspect.
Why isn't this constant news ?
