Here's something from an old article on some of the Manorville cases. The 2003 John Doe was found covered in twigs and leaves, also potentially better location descriptions than what NamUs gives.

Collecting the Clues / 4 unsolved deaths - and the scientists probing the case: [NASSAU AND SUFFOLK Edition] Samuel Bruchey. STAFF WRITER. Newsday, Combined editions; Long Island, N.Y. [Long Island, N.Y]24 Nov 2003: A07.

The first body was pulled from a plastic trash bag in the woods three years ago. Her head, hands and right foot were severed off. What was left had been chopped into chunks.Days later, in November 2000, a man's body turned up a few miles away, beside the Long Island Expressway, intact, but heavily decomposed.
This summer, a third body was found - a woman, beheaded and nude, like the first.
And, two weeks ago, investigators unearthed a fourth body from a covering of twigs and leaves. The carcass was so eaten away by time, the elements and animals that it took a forensic anthropologist to determine the remains belonged to a middle- aged man.
All four bodies shared the same wooded stretch of Manorville. But, police say, each one died someplace else. Both female bodies had been intentionally dismembered, but, so far, only the death of the first man has been ruled a homicide. None of the bodies has been identified.
...
Scraps of clothing, beverage containers, cardboard - anything that appears somehow connected with the body - also are gathered.
Nothing of this kind, however, was recovered from the first male victim, who was dumped on the tree line beside the Long Island Expressway near Exit 68. Nor from the second male body - a 5-foot-3 to 5-foot-9 Caucasian male, between ages 35-50 - which was recovered from dense brush a few hundred feet south of the expressway, east of exit 70. It had been there at least two months.

Thank you, perhaps the update can only be seen on their end. What about this though? The first body was pulled from a plastic trash bag in the woods three years ago. Her head, hands and right foot were severed off. What was left had been chopped into chunks

I'm posting this here because this is one of the most challenging unidentified cases to find matches for (lack of info) but it pertains to all here...

I believe that SCPD does not enter all of the Missing Persons cases into NamUs, in fact, probably a small proportion. Here's why (based on 2014 populations and current NamUs listings)

Pierce County, WA (Tacoma) population: 831,928, MPs in NamUs: 103
Suffolk County, NY population: 1.503 million, MPs in NamUs: 59
Wayne County, MI (Detroit) population: 1.765 million, MPs in NamUs: 220

I suspect that only a small amount of the missing adults make it into NamUs from Suffolk County. Missing children, college students and vulnerable adults are in the NY Missing Persons Clearinghouse http://www.criminaljustice.ny.gov/missing/#/ and probably eventually make it from there into NamUs. These types of missing persons are probably required to be reported to the MP Clearinghouse. But I think that any other missing adults are never entered unless their family advocates for it. Considering how much time I have invested into searching for matches for these unidentified cases :banghead: I find this very discouraging. Is there any agency for oversight with this since the 2016 legislation in NY? Would this be of concern to the FBI?

Take a look at the posts in "will the long island serial killer be caught thread" page 48 on. Possible poi

Plenty of Latino males missing around that time in the tri-state area to choose from...I've seen varying ages for John Doe (one article said age 20 - 30 and NamUs says 30 - 45). Some of these men are listed as being heavier than John Doe but whoever gave their weight estimate may have just been guessing and it's also possible that they lost weight after they went missing, especially if they were using drugs and/or living on the streets. Also, some of these men have tattoos but it sounds like the body may have been decomposed enough that any tattoos weren't able to be found on John Doe?

For the 2000 Atlantic City T-Shirt John Doe http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/681umny.html how about William Charles Lafferty? http://www.doenetwork.org/cases/3974dmnj.html He's a little older but the right height and weight and missing from New Jersey so the Atlantic City T-Shirt could make sense.

Great find Western Artist.. seriously you do really good research!!!.. I just came across this guy also and wanted to post this other guy I found.. I know he went missing in 1998.. but its enough time to sort of get messed up on drugs and end up in long island.. The guy just reminded me of the Atlantic City UID but I could not find a thread for him so I decided to add him here.. I also do wonder if he has anything to do with the Mannerville John Doe

Another good one was a known Gay Bar called Thunders... I went with my best friend a couple of times, he grew up near it. It never dawned on me until I read Your post Scotiansleuth!!!!..and I looked it up.. it no longer exists.. But it was in Huntington..and Huntington was where John Doe with the Atlantic City Tshirt was found.. I don't know if he would be connected to that bar or what.. I know that I went there circa 1998 not sure if it was still opened by 2000..I think it was but not sure.. Anyway I thought I would post it. https://www.yelp.com/biz/thunders-huntington

If Luka really has knowledge of who this person is, I'm almost certain he could get immunity for those crimes as it would catch the bigger predator.

Where did the above information come from? It sounds over the top.

Not if you look at it from the perspective that the DT said the phone calls made the guy sounded younger then the profile for lisk

Iam having a hard time believing the Luka thing involved with the LI serial killer.. I never recall him being on Long Island and I also know he is obsessed with fame and is known for going on line and writing crap about himself and pretending to be other people. That is how he got caught.. he was at a place on a public computer..

Is it possible this guy was a witness who was murdered by the Manorville butcher?
