I have seen another source saying 7 confirmed, but like always in these situations we'll know more in a few hours.

BBC News reporting the local Holiday Inn (hotel) has around 50 children there who have been separated from their parents

OMG 50? They must be so scared, and their parents frantic!

19:35 Pat Carney, the council's spokesman for the city centre, said everyone's thoughts were with the families of those killed and injured.

"It's a very easy target - a concert hall where young people are enjoying music," he said.

"The public are really co-operating by staying away from what is basically now a crime site.
"The world we live in, police and the council have emergency procedures that we practise all the time.

"Obviously everyone in the city is shocked, having seen how young some of these people are
"The police are treating it as a live site, we don't know if this is the end or there are other incidents in that area... we don't know at the moment."

Eyewitness account

"Just waiting for people to get up and start heading for the exit and then heard this loud bang/explosion.
It fell silent, and then that’s when people started screaming and running.
Was a lot of people trying to get out of the exit at once, people shoving people over.
Had to help loads of kids stay up. Got out into the communal area (stalls) and everyone was panicking to get out, but there was only one door open.
Don’t think security realised what happened cause they were blocking the fire doors.
Was just leaving out the main entrance, and that when I heard a second bang.
People started shoving down the stairs and spilling out into the streets and running away from the area. I deffo heard two though.
Not sure where they came from.
It was the most awful experience.
Just heard that bang and thought the worst me and my partner ran straight back to our hotel away. Real shook up. Listening to the news hearing that there is fatalities.
Was loads of kids being pressed against the walls and being pulled apart from their friends/family. Had to pick a girl up from the floor before people stood on her.
We came through the train station to get into the arena, but luckily our seats were on the other side of the arena. The bangs sounded they came from the other side of the arena (nearest train station)

'It was about 40ft behind us near one of the exits'

David Richardson was at the gig with his daughter Emily, 13.

He told the Manchester Evening News: “The lights came on after the gig and people were starting to leave. As I turned to the left there was an explosion. It was about 40ft behind us near one of the exits. We just thought it was people messing about then it happened again. Another explosion sounded.

“Then we saw the smoke. Everyone just fled. Some people were injured. We saw blood on people when we got outside. People were just running all over the place.

“People have said it was a speaker or balloons but it wasn’t. It was explosions.”

Thinking of so many people there. Sad, sad, sad.

So sorry to hear about this :( NBC News Lester Holt broke in to Jeopardy! with Special Report about the explosion at the Manchester Arena. Thoughts and prayers for everyone affected by this tragedy.

Were both explosions originating in the foyer area?

So, so, so tragic. My heart goes out to all the families of the victims

Eyewitness

A father has described seeing "carnage everywhere" in the wake of an explosion at Manchester Arena that left around 30 people, including children and disabled victims, lying on the floor.

The man, named Andy, said he was blown "about 30ft" by a blast that shook the building as he waited to collect his wife and daughter at the end of a concert by US artist Ariana Grande.

He said he later saw panicking families trying to find loved ones in the wake of the incident on Monday night.

He told BBC News: "It's shocking what happened. Just carnage everywhere. There was a good 20 to 30 of them [victims]. Some were young kids, some were disabled people."

All this info coming out makes me think a suicide bomber detonated himself.
