Can anyone tell me WHY no charges were laid in 1987?? It states in the article that the children were checked by doctors and police investigated??
What am i missing?

Charges weren't brought despite having medical and, presumably, police records. It was discussed briefly in thread 8 and "we" thought it might be because the children were so young and would have had to testify on the witness stand, unlike these days where they do a softly softly video link. Nevertheless the kids at the time apparently said "Bill did it" and I think there have been mentions of a mother and a grandmother commenting somewhere. Can somebody clarify this last bit please?

And the Daily Mail says "Victoria Police also allege he is involved in a paedophile ring, expect more charges will be laid against Spedding soon"

Just adding to my own post. I accessed the electoral roll information about BS living in Campbelltown with his wife in the 1980's. I did not post the name of his wife here due to Webleuths TOS. We are permitted to sleuth BS but not his family until such time as they are named by police or mentioned in MSM.

I don't want this forum to be closed down due to any breach of Websleuth's TOS. So for others who may access the electoral rolls I ask that you do not post the names of anyone else mentioned there other than BS.

No worries Fabre. I think we all want to know who BS's friend/neighbour was back in 1987 but we can't jump to conclusions. I'm sure all of the sick mongrels will be named and shamed in due course. In the meantime I'm hoping that little William is found safe and well soon.
