Sweat was sick from something he ate or drank. Cabin owner said he had a bottle of grape flavored liquor that was many years old. LEO said Sweat smelled of alcohol and appeared to be drunk.

Matt not Sweat. This has not been confirmed for Sweat also?

CNN confirming Sweat was shot twice in an open field by a NY state trooper.

Are you even kidding me right now? When am I ever right?? holy cow. He DID go to the same place!

Yup! He did!! GGE: I had emailed info about this area to k_clukey on 6/17 and she said it was an interesting thought and she would look into it.

I had always felt this was a real possibility and it kept popping out to me on almost each and every one of your posts due to your sig. It is super convenient and ironic that you have all the info about him in your signature line.

Great work on this case GGE!!

I don't think there is anything magical about him getting across the border (other than delayed extradition, perhaps). Canadian police, and our LE, with permission from Canada, would have been right on him there too.

MALONE, N.Y. — David Sweat, the surviving prison escapee on the run in northern New York, was shot by a state trooper on Sunday, according to three people briefed on the matter. His condition was unknown.

The shooting occurred after a State Police sergeant saw Mr. Sweat walking down a road toward him, according to one of the people. The sergeant ordered Mr. Sweat to stop, but he broke into a run and the sergeant, a firearms instructor, opened fire, the person said. It was not immediately clear how many shots were fired or whether Mr. Sweat was armed.

Reportedly he will be airlifted to Albany. JMO

I just came in from the movies and said to my husband I bet they caught him, and Rich says they did, they did. We have an appointment at Albany Med. in the morning too.

Thanks! I just checked, the fisrt time I posted that I had a hunch there would be a Keyes tie-in was June 8 but it was on a different forum. Still. I will now never be right again I guess, that was my big one. LOL.

Jean says "this is" 14 miles away from the 22 mile perimeter. I don't know if she means SWeat was shot14 miles outside the perimeter?

He didn't comply, eh? Sounds like he wanted to go down like Matt and LE didn't give him what he wanted. I'm really glad a VT officer killed Matt and a NY officer didn't kill Sweat (at least, not out right). No question at all about what LE priorities were.

Trail cam shot embedded.

FINALLY the photo!!! They both WERE in the photo!! But Sweat's ID can't be confirmed in the photo, so probably why LE kinda ducked that question.
