But you're missing the point -- there is a huge problem with hate against Muslims in the USA. Muslims are about 390 times more likely to be the subject of a religious-bias attack than Protestants (the largest religious category in the USA). Don't you think that is significant? If that doesn't say Islamophobia to you, I don't know what would.

And the only way we'll know about how the SB attacks have increased this hatred is by looking back a year or more from now.

Oh my. That is heartbreaking. :(

I find it fascinating that even though there is so much anti-Muslim rhetoric and hate (as seen in the FBI stats) out there the religion is going to gain so many followers.

public assistance ($) allows them to have many offspring via multiple wives

it'll get worse before it gets better

And I'd like to live in a more socialist society because it fits with my values. Ain't gonna happen though. It doesn't bother me even if a majority of Muslims do say they'd like to live under sharia law. Radical beliefs aren't a problem unless people try to force it on others.

EXACTLY. Radical beliefs are not a problem UNLESS radical extremists try to force it on others. And that is precisely what is happening with Sharia law in some areas and with ISIS taking over cities by brutal, lethal force.

But it's not from converts, it's from the Muslim population being younger and having more children than other religions. What's going to happen to the Buddhists? It also looks like the Muslim countries death rates aren't that high either.

That attack was horrifying. I cannot get it out of my head. Doesnt the Crazy Caliph of ISIS tell followers if they cannot make the trip to join them that they should attempt a beheading and send them the video? I know I read that somewhere.
When you have to choose between atrocities, I would prefer to be shot or blown up before beheading. Beheading to me is the most beastly, unspeakable, horror.

I would like to add that worrying about this kind of assault will also add to Anti Muslim sentiment. Some middle eastern looking guy sits next to you on a bus...I'm going to admit how shallow and profiling I am because I would probably get up. Fear is terrible.

Hi and i bravo and blue !!

I'm going to admit how shallow and profiling I am because I would probably get up. Fear is terrible.

at least you are owning what it is -- I am sure back in the day when people saw KKK they had fears

it reminds me of the move Scream mask !!

I've seen it done to individual pages before, like after a missing person is found deceased the Facebook page changes from "John Doe" to "Remembering John Doe."

The ownership of a deceased person's page can be transferred to someone else. I know this because a friend of mine fought with her deceased son's girlfriend over his page.

Why would there be a backlash against Protestants though? Are they putting slick videos up of them parading hostages around in cages and beheading them?

When you have an extremist group like Isis and Al Quada and the dozens of others, WORLDWIDE, one has to expect there would be some backlash.

Exactly. Apples to Oranges as my Mom would say.

not only is this rherotic disgusting its useless---we cant keep drug dealers out of here can we?

so all this obscene talk about blocking groups (regugees muslims etc) is not only wrong principally --it cant be done

so why are they wasting all there hot air on something that cant be accomlished

focus (like we did with seatbelts) on what we can do to try and interupt the plans

not a people, its kind of like salmonella screening - we cant ban bananas - but we can try to screen for salmonella !

Yes, but there is more than three times the percentages of Jews that are victims of hate crimes and they are truly a peaceful religion. Why would AG Lynch single out the Muslim religion for her assault on the US constitution? jmo

But Muslims are different, and different is scary and wrong.

They are procreating at higher rates than many other religions. In some countries the men can have several wives. They might have 1 to 3 dozen children. And those kids will also do the same.

A $28,500 deposit was made to Syed Farook’s bank account from WebBank.com. WebBank.com is located in Utah.

The SUV the killers rented had a Utah license plate. Coincidence???

Also in the days before the shooting, there were at least three transfers of $5,000 that appear to be to Farook’s mother.

thats interesting... i dont know why , i def think there is no way mom did not know soething was "happening" ... but its like parents of drug using kids, you can know but cant stop while at the same time your not calling the cops on your kids all the time

its like domestic violence, people know the vitims are being abused, but "mind there own business " especially when it is "family"

Or maybe it is culturally (I do not know) normative not to ask your kids stuff

I know , even if it was a neighbor who had UPS every day I would ask not even in that context, but just like what did you get? I dont know if that makes sense , but (i dont think i woudl think something bad) but what did u buy?

It is not about being different. Hindus are different. Bahais are different. Jehovah witnesses are different. Sikhs are different.

But they do not get nearly the hate nor the backlash. Maybe because they do not have thousands of followers who threaten to behead people who do not follow their beliefs.

Did An ‘Islamic Feminist’ Scholar Inspire Tashfeen Malik?

Was her baby just a prop, a pawn in a long con?

Because there’s growing evidence that the mysterious Tashfeen Malik, the shy, veiled bride-turned mass murderer, handled a gun as well as she did the Pampers she left behind with the infant girl she was still nursing to go kill 14 people in Southern California with her husband last week.

“She was a very good shot,” a senior law enforcement official in San Bernardino told The Daily Beast on Sunday about Malik’s last stand with Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, when they faced off against police from inside their black SUV, firing 76 rounds, on a city street.

I think that might be it. For the most part I see Muslims speaking out against terrorists (like all of us do), but if they don't I assume they have their own reasons, and like you said we don't expect that from others.

but what we are missing is that most muslims, christians jews africian americans hsipanics whatever are not fond of people blowing other people up

it is like do any of us go around saying I am not in favor of murder, rape, etc its just not something that people of any race religion or creed goes around pronoucing , its kinda like a given

most of us who are not running around stating that we are not in favor of murder does not mean that we are, it just means it is like "understood" among civil behaving "people"

Who said that there SHOULD be a backlash? Not me.

And I'm not about to get into the different crimes committed by different religious groups. It's been established time and again that a large number of mass shootings in the US have been committed by people who self-identify as Protestant, and often do so with religious motives. But we don't brand a whole religion based on what a relative minority of violent people do when Christians are involved -- so I'm not sure why it would be appropriate to do so with other religious groups.
