I believe he transported mobile homes (wide loads) when he owned his own company but idk if or where or when he trucked before that.

Wondering if serial sexual predator JD Worley may have been one of the Suspects named in the 2009 FBI Long Haul Trucker Serial killer Iniative?

ViCAP analysts have created a national matrix of more than 500 murder victims from along or near highways, as well as a list of some 200 potential suspects. Names of suspects—contributed by law enforcement agencies—are examined by analysts who develop timelines using a variety of reliable sources of information.

It has made international news now. This from CNN international edition:

Trending Internet social media drives the ms media.. It is important to share local ms media links for maximum awareness, imo.

FBI - Interactive Social Media: The Value for Law Enforcement
https://leb.fbi.gov/2013/september/interactive-social-media-the-value-for-law-enforcement

The increase in use of interactive social media in the last 5 years has changed how people live their lives. Individuals use smart phones to post photos, identify their location, and advise what they are doing. If law enforcement agencies fully engage the public by using social media, the department and the community benefit by increasing collaboration and enhancing investigative capabilities. With well-planned implementation, the use of social media can impact community issues, and police departments and citizens can work together to solve crimes.

Many law enforcement agencies have expanded their involvement in social media, using platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Nixle, to deliver information to their communities. One benefit is that departments can send data directly to the public. Law enforcement organizations can use these sites to inform people of upcoming activities and current investigations where they need public assistance.

In summer 2010 the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Police Department launched its official Facebook page. Today, over 38,000 people follow this page. The department links all articles from the news section of its Web site, Phillypolice.com, to its Facebook page to ensure that information immediately reaches the public, independent of the news media.[1]

Social media is the primary means of communication for many people. Regarding the use of Twitter, the Hillsborough, New Jersey, police chief stated that “This is the way our society is now, especially with our younger generation—they want immediate notification.

Her home to his property is about 4 3/4 or 4 7/8 mile. His property to where she was found is an additional 2 or 2 1/4 mile. These are all road miles, not as the crow flies. Few roads in the area run anything other than due N/S or E/W. Mostly one or 1/2 mile grids.

Admittedly, I don't know anything about cornfields, but is it possible to drive a motorcycle across them?

I understand that LE couldn't arrest him from what the therapist reported, but wouldn't it have been enough to get a search warrant for his property as well as a Dna sample to run it against unsolved cases? If a guy that kidnapped a girl and hand cuffed her says he learned from his mistake and will bury the others - PLURAL then he should be taken seriously. His property should have been searched long ago as well as his DNA taken.

It's one thing for a guy with no criminal history to say I will bury the rest but a guy that got caught trying to take a girl to rape is another thing. He should have been looked into when he made that statement! Isn't that enough for a warrant??

Sierah would likely still be here if they had taken that statement seriously. :(

And possibly many others. It wasn't a statement directed at any one person which in my opinion made his statement more threatening and worthy of being looked into. He didn't say "I'm going to kill my mother" this LE warns his mother. He said others with an "s" so why didn't LE get a warrant and search his property? Many lives were at stake

It would take twice as long to drive across the field. Sometimes, I don't know with these exact fields in this case, there are lanes. So there is room for a tractor or vehicle to get through to the back area of crops.

I wonder if Sheila Main can be connected to JDW? I went to vocational high school with her and her husband. There isn't a WS thread for her.
I'm not sure I am ready to make a thread here yet. Not good w/ computers really.

Is there any information about her online? Did she go missing? Was killed?

I think from what others have reported here that he made these statements when he was in prison in 1990-93. At that time he did not own the property yet, his parents did still.

But I agree that he should have been closely monitored, dna taken, or some other measures been applied to keep an eye on him.

My original post - snipped by me: "My second thing: We have heard nothing about a computer or internet activity right? I can't believe he didn't escalate to that avenue in his career of horror. His phone perhaps provided enough access to websites for creeps, to research ideas and other MO's, etc. But I picture him as he leads up to needing real life horror fulfillment, he's sitting in the dark, smoking a cig, searching online, getting what small fix he can as his desire/etc wells up for the next time he will act out.

Although it's a good idea to try and get a database together of missing and murdered persons in that immediate area, to see if Worley is responsible for any of them, I would imagine the internet opened up a whole new feeding ground for Worley. Trying to get a list together of women and young girls that may have taken a trip to Delta, Ohio in order to pay a visit to Worley, is going to be almost an impossible task. My guess would be that if he lured them in that way, he always made sure they were dependent on him in order to get around, otherwise he would've had too many vehicles to try and hide.

As we all know, luring women over the internet has become a national pastime to the predator crowd. It's easy to do, and it's hard to track, at least it used to be hard to track. Technology has made it much easier now for LE, although they were years behind in catching up. I've wondered out loud myself before how they were able to solve almost any murder without the use of cell phone pings, which has been a pretty recent advance in technology. But that discussion is best left for some other time and forum.

I'm sure the computer forensic technicians will be combing through all of Worley's computer files and e-mail accounts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will find everything or even find a fraction of it. People switch out computers, buy new laptops, throw away old laptops, remove hard drives, and format hard drives all the time. Runaways, drug addicts, sex workers, escorts...........all of them would've been the perfect victims for Worley. I think it's safe to say that he used internet technology as well, and may have used it even more than stalking and grabbing unsuspecting locals. We all know animals don't normally s#*#*t where they eat, and that's the big mistake Worley made when he decided to go after Sierah.

But has there been any mention of JDW having or using computers or online technology at all, other than owning a cell phone? That was the gist of my question. :)

It would be surprising if he didn't, for the EXACT reasons you've described.

Great information Leroymarie! Thanks for finding this! His being a truck driver has eaten at me since the beginning. :(

I wouldn't be surprised if the sole purpose of the transport business was for his personal use. .

This is what I suspected yesterday and last week. He made business as a cover so he could spend slot of time in there and people thought he was working.

It sure would provide great cover, though. Even if a farmer were to hear a motorcycle, they probably wouldn't be able to pinpoint where the noise was coming from. I'm not advocating for this scenario, just my wandering, wondering thoughts...

Docs: Suspect in Ohio student's murder had hidden room in barn

h warrants show investigators found a hidden room outfitted with restraints inside a barn belonging to an Ohio man who's accused of abducting and killing a college student.

The documents first reported by The Blade newspaper in Toledo after it went to court seeking their release say the secret room also had a carpet-lined freezer with blood inside.

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/sierah-...llege-students-death-had-hidden-room-in-barn/

Also the article states that investigators are looking
into the possibility of additional victims.

Could he have passed her while she was biking then went ahead of her and staged an accident? Like laid his motorcycle over and was laying there, or just standing by it? Anyone would stop to see if anyone was okay. We know for sure he was on his motorcycle initially?

I saw that one article said they recovered maps. Hopefully there are clues to possible other victims and makes it easier to close some of those cases.

Since LE has noted that they found so many journals, maps, and pictures/video nanny cam then he didn't have access or wanted to be traced to any social media accounts. He thought he was smart enough they would never search his property in previous crimes.
