I wish we could figure out where he trucked to.

Mwah! Thank you!
I am putting together a spreadsheet of potential victims, based on the Charley Projects list of the missing for Ohio.
I want to be able to exclude women who went missing while he was incarcerated.
Right now I am limiting my list to adult women.

Just saw this -- I hope it's not totally repeated info...

OH - Sierah Joughin

TOLEDO, Ohio — Investigators found a hidden room outfitted with restraints inside a barn belonging to a man accused of abducting and killing an Ohio college student, and they were looking into whether it was used to hold other victims, according to search warrants released Thursday.

No surprise, I guess, We've been here before on so many cases like this. Horrible news for the family, but at least they know she is out of danger, pain and sheer horror. SMH.

Dammit.

I wonder if Sheila Main can be connected to JDW? I went to vocational high school with her and her husband. There isn't a WS thread for her.
I'm not sure I am ready to make a thread here yet. Not good w/ computers really.

Ugh. Thanks for updating the list. The search warrant has been released to the public. Has anyone got a link to a PDF? I've only seen the warrant for the cell phone records.

This MSM article from this morn, states "maps" were also found:

<snip>

Authorities also found duct tape that had both Worley’s and Joughin’s DNA, several pairs of female panties, journals, maps and a “nanny cam” on his property, search warrants show.

IF accurate (that they found maps) and the maps are related to possible additional victims---either where he may have abducted and/or placed them, I wonder if he marked/indicated locations on the maps.

In a easy world we would be able to see what trucking company he worked for and what he hauled. Find out where the trucks were hauling to. Most truckers stay on the same route wherever you go. Maybe he got bored with his route so he quit or let go maybe cause he was making gestures to other females.

My second thing: We have heard nothing about a computer or internet activity right? I can't believe he didn't escalate to that avenue in his career of horror. His phone perhaps provided enough access to websites for creeps, to research ideas and other MO's, etc. But I picture him as he leads up to needing real life horror fulfillment, he's sitting in the dark, smoking a cig, searching online, getting what small fix he can as his desire/etc wells up for the next time he will act out.

My third thing: why did the prosecutor release the search warrants? Did he HAVE to by law? Did the judge not have the authority to seal them? What's the story there?

That's all for now. I'm taking notes of these topics as they come up for me while at work and will post more later, I'm sure. Thanks in advance for your thoughts on these things.

Although it's a good idea to try and get a database together of missing and murdered persons in that immediate area, to see if Worley is responsible for any of them, I would imagine the internet opened up a whole new feeding ground for Worley. Trying to get a list together of women and young girls that may have taken a trip to Delta, Ohio in order to pay a visit to Worley, is going to be almost an impossible task. My guess would be that if he lured them in that way, he always made sure they were dependent on him in order to get around, otherwise he would've had too many vehicles to try and hide.

As we all know, luring women over the internet has become a national pastime to the predator crowd. It's easy to do, and it's hard to track, at least it used to be hard to track. Technology has made it much easier now for LE, although they were years behind in catching up. I've wondered out loud myself before how they were able to solve almost any murder without the use of cell phone pings, which has been a pretty recent advance in technology. But that discussion is best left for some other time and forum.

I'm sure the computer forensic technicians will be combing through all of Worley's computer files and e-mail accounts, but that doesn't necessarily mean they will find everything or even find a fraction of it. People switch out computers, buy new laptops, throw away old laptops, remove hard drives, and format hard drives all the time. Runaways, drug addicts, sex workers, escorts...........all of them would've been the perfect victims for Worley. I think it's safe to say that he used internet technology as well, and may have used it even more than stalking and grabbing unsuspecting locals. We all know animals don't normally s#*#*t where they eat, and that's the big mistake Worley made when he decided to go after Sierah.

Since JDW only made $1000 last year, I'm curious if hes selling homemade bondage horror videos? I'm sure the LE will be Looking into it.

I believe he transported mobile homes (wide loads) when he owned his own company but idk if or where or when he trucked before that.

Suspect in killing of Ohio student had hidden room with freezer, police say

CNN now covering.
"Found 12 miles from suspects home"-
? Mistake, right?

Her home to his property is about 4 3/4 or 4 7/8 mile. His property to where she was found is an additional 2 or 2 1/4 mile. These are all road miles, not as the crow flies. Few roads in the area run anything other than due N/S or E/W. Mostly one or 1/2 mile grids.

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! VERY INSIGHTFUL!!! :goodpost:

I agree Knox. Although most well trained Law Enforcement officers have the ability to compartmentalize tragedies. But the darkness that they have encountered over the past nine days would be beyond my comprehension.

Roger L. Depue, Ph.D. Pioneer of the FBI BSU can explain it much better than I ever could...

Founder of The Academy Group, Inc. Retired FBI (21 years). Former Chief of the FBI Behavioral Sciences Unit. Became the first administrator of the FBI's National Center for the Analysis of Violent Crime.

'When I was a young man, a friend taught me the ancient art of dowsing, and after a time, I became something of a practitioner myself, finding water underground as a kind of parlor trick for friends. It might seem odd that a man so rooted in grim reality would take an interest in something so ethereal. In fact, I’m fascinated by the unseen forces at play in the lives of human beings.

My job has been to try to stop human predators before they kill again, and after studying them so closely over so many years, to me their traits seem clearly recognizable.
Evil is more than a vague notion. It is an entity, and it is manifest on the earth. It has reflexes and intuition, senses vulnerability, and changes its form to adapt to its surroundings. Those who do not believe the Devil walks this earth have not seen the things that I have seen.

Evil is not a discrete entity that springs forth fully formed. It is born in the mind, takes root there as fantasy, and prospers when normal human restraint can no longer contain it. I have seen it devour the personalities of men like Richard Speck, Jeffrey Dahmer, and Ted Bundy, turning them into blank-faced sociopaths who clearly know right from wrong, but choose, time and again, to follow their own base urges, with complete disregard for the terrible human suffering they cause.

I believe that every act of homicide causes a slight unbalancing in the world, and that it diminishes life’s universal equation. In the interest of justice, it is imperative that someone try to right that imbalance. But the task of fighting evil can take a terrible toll on the people who are charged with it. It can cost them their families, their equilibrium, their capacity for joy'...

Lastly, I read some comments about JDW's mugshot and mention of him looking smug. I really did not see that The first thing I saw was that he would not look at the camera. To me, that indicates denial...that he doesn't want to accept that this is really happening. He had to know at this point that EVERYTHING was getting ready to come out. Not only would everyone know what a monster he was, but he would never again be a free man to commit the kind of horrible things he had been doing. I see a picture of man who is defeated and to me, that's great. I'm very confident that the good guys will win here.

RSBM And BBM

I think in the mugshot he looks smug as that was before they found everything. I think he really thought his 2 bikes broken motorcycle story was going to work or at least maybe cause reasonable doubt. The pictures and videos of him appearing in court he looks defeated. At that point he would have been confronted with everything they found and knew his version was not going to work out. At that point even if he had been able to talk his way out of the SJ situation there was all that other evidence now.

I'm sorry if I missed it, how old was he when his mother remarried?

"[snip] Multiple video and still image recording devices and film were collected, though their contents have not yet been released. [snip]."

LE will be able to identify other victims with these videos, stills, and film... and that could take a long time to connect all those dots! I'm assuming that those additional charges will be separate from Sierah's abduction/murder charges.
