Where are the nosy, aggressive reporters that we used to have when cases like this happened? The ones that forced LE to give updates, even if the update was "we still have nothing." I don't get it.

I hear ya Toast and Chook. We all have strong opinions about this case and those opinions often differ. That's Okay! It's why we are here!
I find myself wanting to see RL as an innocent (aside from probation violations) Grampa ...yet I too wonder, given all that has unfolded, if perhaps he is involved , maybe unwillingly, by way of someone or something he saw or knows.

... and I just wish I had those #%@¥*€÷#÷% £@!# missing pieces !!!!!

True...but if he's familiar with the bridge, or has a job related to heights, he would probably feel confident enough to walk with his hands in his pockets.

By putting his hands in his pockets, he's also able to act nonchalant in order to not spook the girls before he's ready to act. Plus, by discreetly holding his arms close to his body, it can help prevent whatever he's hiding underneath to not tumble out.

I don't think the photo is a police plant. I don't know what they could gain by doing that, especially in the critical hours following the crime. The outrage would be huge!

There aren't many of those type of reporters here in Indiana. We often lament the fact that we don't have true investigative reporting here, not even in the bigger Indiana cities. Welcome to the Hoosier state

Yeah. There are several videos showing him in the media thread at the beginning of this one.

My earlier post is asking why and how posters think RL is involved so I can understand the logic and how you come to that opinion. This is how we discuss opinions on WS. If you don't want to elaborate your opinion that's fine but one cannot expect an opinion to go undebated on here. That's what we are about. I have had people say to me "that's the worst opinion I have ever seen" and that's to be expected too. We have to accept criticism but not rudeness obviously. So hoping we can continue to debate all opinions openly and freely. MOO.
Eta the second para is a general comment to all and not to you Jennifer. I was just tagging it on rather than doing a separate post. Lazy me.

i think at the press conference when LE were asking people to recognize him they by mannerism said something like, and i am paraphrasing here...the way he has with his hands in his pockets.

for some people it is characteristic to walk with their hands in their pockets. i personally can't imagine walking across that bridge like that. to me that says they have familiarity of the bridge by having that much confidence to walk on it. they were also walking closer to the edge than the middle, which would make the walk even more terrifying to me. this familiarity screams local to me.

This reply is for the person who asked why the 6000 billboards went up if RL is the person responsible/BG.

RL did a couple of interviews in the first day or two after the murders. The billboards went up relatively quickly as well. I suspect LE and a lot of other people watched those video clips of RL and noticed how he walked with hands in pockets, head down. Maybe LE believed his alibi at the beginning but as time progressed his story started to unravel. (IMO). I also believe it wasn't by chance that an interviewer specifically asked RL to say "down the hill" in an interview. There is a reason LE let the media know about the search at RL's property in March. There is a reason the media was at the court house and RL had a who's who in LE escorting him for appearances/sentencing.
We know LE has stated that other people have been arrested for outstanding issues during the course of this investigation or had their property searched but why is RL the ONLY named person?

I don't know if he committed the murders but I do believe he is either involved or knows who did it.

I do think BG has a belly, but that blue jacket disguises it. I think his facial hair is more light brown with some small flecks of grey.

RL's is pure white.

But when they arrest BG, I don't think he's going to have a flat stomach.

Yeah maybe it's me but if he had nice abs and a nice face I'd be surprised via BG photo as bad as it may be. I think imo a slight belly is possible, may not be a dinky do. ( if you don't know the term just pm me I won't go there here). He's like a Picasso in the face. You just don't know where all the parts really are. Face hair I see salt pepper, or light with some grey brown, that's vague ik. But he's vague. Can't wait to see his actual face as I need a new dart board. It would be perfect. 🤗 hope saying that isn't too far. Imo always

Those reporters no longer exist. And if they do, they are a dying breed. In my state reporters seem to investigate stories that could possibly garner the news station an Emmy award.

I'm thinkin it's cause it was one ,his property, some have seen other cases where property owners have done the crimes. For me I'm not feelin that. Two it was the beginning, so reporters were all over it. Three when nothing came of RL not really, if they'd seen cut out pieces of carpet being carried out things might be different. maybe after reporters assumed it wasn't him after all after LE statements conferences etc, and LE was doing other ones I assume search warrants wasnt there quite a few? 2, 3 5? Not sure but covering every sw that might not pan out would maybe cause reporters ridicule for doing what happened to RL to the rest of the town being searched. Idk. I'm this is a touchy one for some so I mean no disrespect, it's just what and why I figure RL was a. spectacle situation in the beginning and maybe why others weren't all imo always.

IMO, it seems like he was walking toward them with his hands in his pockets, but Libby caught him at the time when he was in the process of getting ready to grab something. My opinion is a gun in which to subdue the girls to force them "down the hill".

I have to say it seems a strange sort of witness protection program but you have some good points about information that may have been provided.

So with the BBR search and then this one both so public LE learned by those events? Eg maybe lots of false tips and wild goose chases? 13 other search warrants with 2 additional locations I know of being Peru and Lebanon IIRC.
