Below article shows a photo of what JC's Parmelia Hilton uniform looked like. Having worked in 5 star hotels in late 80's and early 90's I can confidently state that this uniform was very standard in the industry. Indeed the uniform at the Sheraton night club (Clouds) was very similar.

The "Midnight Fear Prowls Streets" (24 June 1988) article mentions that the Sheraton attacker tied the cummerbund from the victim's dress around her mouth.

It was very common for the 5 star uniforms to also include cummerbunds seems like the Sheraton victim was wearing her work uniform.

As mentioned previously we therefore have two hotel workers, who wore similar work uniforms, one brutally attacked and one disappear in a very close timeframe - 28th May 1988 and 20th June 1988.

Both ladies also left their workplace at similar time - JC 12:30am and the Sheraton victim around 12:45am given the comments regards to the DJ/radio in the car mentioning the time being 03:45 am.

Dorothy was the alias the newspaper used for her. She wasnt leaving work though, she'd been out for dinner with friends. Article states at 12.50am she was in the nightclub. "Ten minutes later she'd said goodnight to her dinner party friends and was crossing Adelaide Terrace to her car..."

Just strange to be wearing a cummerbund, as not a normal dress item.

Anyone know where Roger Sidney William Payne was on 20th June 1988? I wonder if he left the bag of clothes in the Paragon Arcade? Why choose the arcade with such an unusual name, which only the father would recognise as being the name of a mining company?

Is the above form of attack a form of martial arts?

If it was a message to him, it may have backfired a bit as no one handed the bag of clothes to police for a year!

For a former SAS soldier, his notoriety is for a botched a ransom job. But then again maybe David Francis Everett and James Reynolds weren't well known until they did bad stuff either.

Probably the only life at the beach after dark was the Scarborough drags. Where driver's used to do burn-outs.

.....and late night nudey drunk swims after the Cott and OBH pubs closed! I recall both Cott and North Cott Beaches being dark back in late 80's. IIRC, part of the reason the beaches became illuminated was too stop punters going for dangerous late night drunk swims after the 2 pubs closed in Summer time.

It would have dented and the doors are the easiest to do it to. Petedavo I think is correct, it's more a side swipe than a T bone and these dents are what you would see swiping a telephone pole for example or the corner of that retainer wall. Or a pylon but there seems to be questions as to how the car got out that far.

By bouncing I mean impact, dent, bounce off, correct and keep moving. Swiping a fixed object side on won't stop your vehicle, it probably wouldn't even slow it down much. IMO

Those big pine trees are round and would cause rounds dents if somehow the Fiat or car could jump sideways!

It was one week before on 17th June 1988. I think this is the Sunday Times 19th June report with the huge front page headline of Murder Hunt Car Clue.

Detailed description of the car, person of interest, possible connections to 16 unsolved south side rape victims and the murder of Victoria Clark on 9th Sep 1987.

Then Tilbury confesses and is court the next day, Monday 20th June being charged. Even though he doesn't own a car anything like what was pictured and described, didn't know that VD had just visited her boyfriend at CV remand centre even though he supposedly picked her up from close to there, and had no idea why he killed her. They said they were still looking for the Southside rapist after Tilbury's arrest.

VD and her boyfriend were both arrested by the federal police for heroin trafficking into WA from the Eastern States just a few days before her death.
