Monday, around 6:30 a.m. - Kristy Woods calls the Onslow County Sheriff's Office to report her 3-year-old daughter, Mariah Kay Woods, is missing. The mom says she last saw her around 11 p.m. Sunday.

FFIW. I had said this on thread 2..........and it was removed by mods (for legit reasons - not complaining at all). Yes, I did sleuth him but didnt go into details of what I found except that he was a fake journalist and plagiarist.

for those wondering if KKW was involved and not charged - using children to hurt the partner is another tactic of DV. If EK killed MW to inflict abuse on KKW, it could be considered that she was a victim of abuse and not an accomplice, or hindering/obstructing the investigation.

For those sleuthers that believe this happened before Thanksgiving, why do you think LE is only asking to hear from anyone for that night thru Monday morning? I'm beginning to think it had to have happened that evening because someone saw her the day before? What do ya'll think?

Ok I've given this some thought, because I think if EK did go away with the boys only on Thursday, and return on Sunday, it certainly looks off in the overall scheme of things, that Mariah can then be reported abducted that very night. How usual would those two occurrences line up like that is my way of looking at it.

So, why do LE ask for sightings of the family from Sunday? I'm assuming that this family had no contact with anyone outside of their own number (KH, EK, & children) on that Sunday. So LE have asked the boys. The boys have told them they were all together on Sunday, maybe in truth, maybe under pressure. There is no point in asking the boys if they saw Mariah between Thurs and Sun because they were away (assumed from photo without Mariah). LE is alive to the possibility that they are speaking under pressure and wants to know if anyone can verify it.

My local news station WECT just announced with Breaking News that the sheriff was going to hold another press conference and I apologize but I couldn't hear if it was for 6:25 pm or 6:45 pm. Press conference will be on WECT facebook page.

I think they know he killed her. I don't think they can make charges without probably cause, and they need a body for that right? or possibly they want to be able to charge him specifically in relation to her injuries - 1st degree, etc. and want to wait for the body to determine that. Sexual assault could be a possibility as well. they might be trying to determine if it was premeditated or spontaneous.

I always watch them on my tv (smart tv has a browser) so I can’t link it but I’m using wcti12.com then clink livestream. Right now it’s news and last time they broke in with the press conference. Hope they do again...I don’t do Facebook either except an account with my dogs name, no friends, no posts, and I don’t post anywhere. I just use it for cases and I agree the streams always aren’t the best.

I'm torn about this. An accident at his hands would be unnatural causes and so would murder. Maybe he is claiming accident so they know it is unnatural but can't prove murder without a body or a witness?

He looks like he cried. I think he confessed to something but not to all (otherwise they'd know where she is).

Good points. We've been victorious in some and disappointed in others, but it's all in the hands of law & order.
