I wonder who has parental rights?

It appears he has some kind of visitation. I'm just assuming from his FB posts and such.
I do hope mom and child are safe. Cases like these can be heartbreaking.

Who has confirmed Megan's emotional/mental/cognitive state besides Avas father?
He puked all over any possible privacy she might prefer with juicy details.
This really bothers me and makes me wonder what type of guy he is.

In the video report I linked the police officer speaking mentioned their concern. I don't believe they went through the Silver Alert process merely on Ava's father's say-so. Law enforcement seems to have a serious concern.

A Silver Alert was issued Tuesday night for a missing Charlotte woman who is believed to be with her 8-year-old daughter.

According to police, Megan Lori Stack and her daughter, Ava, have been missing since about 1:30 Monday afternoon.

On its Facebook page, the department said there is a serious concern for their safety because of Stack's emotional state and recent behavior. The Silver Alert said Megan Stack is "believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment."

Yikes. I searched both her and Ava on WS. I will look again. Thanks.

It was stated that she thought someone was after her and she dumped her wallet, credit cards, phone, laptop and camera at a local business so she couldn't be traced. Child's father believes this is indicative of a lack of grasp of reality as opposed to any real outside danger. Similar actions that were mentioned in the case of Michelle Roode Boyd.
It has been over a year now and she is still missing.
Thankfully, her daughter was found safe.

They were found safe in Missouri where mom went to an EMS station voluntarily for evaluating

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police told Channel 9 that Megan Stack and her daughter Ava were found in Franklin County, Missouri, near St. Louis after Stack apparently voluntarily stopped at an emergency medical services substation.

Both appeared to be OK, police said.

CMPD said Stack was taken to the hospital for a mental evaluation, while her daughter was in the process of being reunited with family members.

‪Megan Stack and her 8-year-old daughter, Ava, are safe! Ms. Stack went to an EMS station outside St. Louis a short time ago and asked to be taken to a hospital to be evaluated. Authorities are working now to reunite Ava with her father!

Good for her. Either she really needs help or it will be a 3rd party confirmation that she is fine.

I wonder if she was on some sort of medication. My dad took meds once that made him hallucinate! We didn't realize for a few days what was happening. Finally he stopped talking it and all problems ended shortly after it left his system.

I feel so very sad for Megan... something is going on with her and I hope she is able to rest and heal, or to get the help she wants/needs. So sad to see our parents in pain or suffering, so my heart breaks for her little one, too. Of course, so happy to see that they are both physically safe.

Obviously someone knew they were ok last night.

If she was in Oklahoma at midnight and ended up at an EMS station near St. Louis Missouri, she had to drive all night to get there.

A lot of driving the past days. Perhaps as mentioned above by Pamelado2 a medication side affect that also affected her sleep cycle.
Glad they arrived im MO safely.

Well, there you go. I'm not at all confident in info from an Ex.
