There are two items that I very much Miss that were on the old server. That were not carried over to This Server.
1) I really liked as I was browsing through the threads, to see who are new members and to be able to understand where they were coming from because they were new.
No longer are we able to see that. Especially when people hide their profiles, there is no way to see it at all, and some new members do that (which I had never seen before).
I have also seen new members power post to look as an older member when they are less than 24 hours old. And I think sometimes there's a reason they do that but that's something that I probably should not discuss.
#2) for many cases, I have always found it helpful and noticed how many/which people were members and how many people online were guests following a trial. Or a case. No longer can we see that. I wish we had that feature back very very very much.
There are many reasons, one of which is if a trial is starting, you want to do a shout out to folks you know who have been following it previously who may not realize that it is started and they are not following it and just being silent. We did that with the Oscar Pistorius trial and others. Even when there was a jury vote verdict, we could see people who weren't there and we would specifically go find them. But those are just two examples that are specific and I'm doing it in more general terms as to a question.
Bottom line this is a question for the moderators and or Tricia, Is there a reason we do not have that anymore, or is it something you can turn on?
