I just watched an update on this house-of-horrors murder on ABC News Tonight with David Muir and the headlines mention possible motive (along with all the explicitly horrific details). But motive never stated.

This case broke my heart from the very beginning, from KB going missing on Thanksgiving day, to presumption of murder, to arrest of PF and to discovery of KK. But I'll confess, my wildest nightmares could never have imagined a man, blindfolding the mother of his baby daughter, with the pretense of guessing the scent of a candle, and then beating her to death with a bat. My mind has trouble going to this realism.

It seems to me, that he was unable to look her in the eye while obliterating her. Not only is he a cold-blooded murderer, he's also a coward. All MOOO (my own overwhelmed opinion).

Since the romantic relationship with the nurse was started in September and the murder plots were hatched in September, I think getting rid of the pilot instructor to further the relationship with the nurse is at least a partial motive.

That's the way our legal system works. After all, he's innocent until proven guilty. Lawyers will throw whatever hail mary pass they can. It's a waste of time, but the lawyers get paid, which is all that matters. So go through the motions. So is this girlfriend not going to be charged simply because she's cooperating with authorities now? Seems to me it's obvious she's an accessory after the fact, and that's not even knowing whether she initially lied to authorities and obstructed justice.

She was so worried about her own safety, that she drove all that distance, and bowed to his commands to clean up the murder scene? She could have simply called the police and reported him, and then he'd be in jail and unable to harm her.

No, she was in love with him, and wanted to help him get away with it, and perhaps they would be together. Perhaps she will get away with all she did, because the prosecution wants her testimony, but I hope she is now unemployed, and never ever able to get another job doing anything even remotely resembling nursing. What she did was nothing short of evil IMO, and I now buy her "fear for her life" excuse even less than I did before. She's even luckier that he didn't decide to take care of her as well, in an effort to cover his tracks completely.
