“The majority of the animals from the infected herd in the Southern Interior of British Columbia have been tested,” Komal added. “Trace-out testing is being conducted, and animals from the infected herd have been traced to parts of British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan.”
CIFA has placed movement controls on approximately 18,000 animals in 25 herds as the investigation continues.
