This is the first time I've noticed "car jacking with a deadly weapon". Was she car jacked before returning to the home or is this particular car jacking referring to when he loaded her up in her car. (I thought she was murdered in the home and then he took her car
with her dead body in it and dumped her.)

Sorry kind of slacked off on this case - looks like his trial is starting today.

Scott Nelson trial: Jury selection begins for man accused in Altamonte Springs woman’s kidnap, killing
JUN 10, 2019 | 3:36 PM
Jury selection in the trial of Scott Edward Nelson, the man accused of kidnapping and killing an Altamonte Springs woman in 2017, began Monday at the Orange County Courthouse.
[...]
At a hearing last week, Nelson rejected a plea offer from the state.

White also ruled last Friday that prosecutors could use a police interview of Nelson as evidence in the trial. His attorneys argued detectives coerced him into incriminating himself after Nelson offered in a letter to confess in exchange for better treatment and more food at a Miami detention center.

So nothing on "what" happened yesterday, eh? :)

WINTER PARK, Fla. —

Scott Nelson is accused of kidnapping Jennifer Fulford, 56, from her employers' home in Winter Park and killing her in 2017.
[...]
The judge has been telling potential jurors he plans to select the panel in stages and that the trial may last into July.

Jury selection begins for murder suspect Scott Nelson

Updated Jun 10 2019 07:31PM EDT
[...]
The judge spent Monday asking potential jurors if they had any financial hardships or conflicts that would prevent them from serving on the jury. Nelson was in court all day, seemingly interested in what the judge was asking potential jurors and the answers from those prospective jurors. The judge noted that the trial could last several weeks.

This is a death penalty case, so typically, jury selection does take quite a bit longer than in a normal. They are still in the very early stages of this process, and it looks like jury selection could take most of the week.

Nelson's request to be awakened by deputies two hours prior to his arrival in court is interesting to me.

Surely they are called to breakfast.
Or he is served in his cell. Could a prisoner sleep all day if they wanted to? ( I can't imagine this).

Maybe he needs more time to get dressed?!

Court appears to begin at 9:00a.m.

It seems like an odd request. Nothing of real import.
