We have no idea if PS does in fact have a mental illness.
I think given GJ's extensive experience and exposure to numerous people, he used his professional judgement that PS MAY have a mental illness and acted accordingly.

I know if it was my son missing I would want the cops to do everything necessary and grill any potential POI until the perpetrator is found

Even the Magistrate says that PS had 'some mental illness'.

How far is Ellendale from Benaroon? That confuses me too that they would drive there.

Ellendale runs off Beneroon.
It's really close around the corner.

But, assessing any disturbing behaviour would give some indication as to whether a person is psychotic, suicidal or just being a bit pesky. imo

Yes I agree.

It's just off Benaroon. Not sure which property they mean but some properties on Beneroon back onto properties on Ellendale. There is also a bit of bushland between the two so could be trails?

I said about psychosis because it can cover other mental states as well. And i also said i don't know about PS mental illness and would have been up to a psychiatrist to determine.

Or maybe a psychologist. One of those was bought on board, as I recall.

Actually not the Magistrate, his name is Hudson. It was the prosecutor who said that - he may have been saying that by GJ's own admission he believed PS had mental illness, and therefore knew he was vulnerable, but yet he forged on. imo.

It has been stated in court about PS having mental illness and my post was in reply to a previous post.
The post you responded to was a response to you introducing the idea of a psychotic episode. It feels like this is getting way off track. Perhaps we could just focus on what we assume to be true :)

Yes that too. And the Magistrate has confirmed "some mental illness" per my previous post.

It wasn't the magistrate Karinna. I messed up the names it was Hogan the Prosecutor not Hudson the Magistrate.

Sorry for the confusion.

It's very close.... within 300 metres I guess as the crow flies? but maybe 500 if you drive. Maybe they drove just to be quick?

Thanks all. Ok so that makes more sense to me now that they went there.

From his house directly opposite William’s grandmother’s former home, an elderly man named Paul (surname withheld for privacy reasons) and his son, Sean, have watched long-time friends and neighbours slowly drift away from Benaroon Drive.“A lot of them have moved,” he says. “One bloke left because he felt intimidated by the police. He had a few problems. He wasn’t a crook or a bad bloke, just a bit of a loner. He wanted out.”

“A recluse,” says Sean. “I think all of the attention sort of frightened him.”
“They were coming around checking everything and he got scared,” Paul says. “Just the fear of that.” He shrugs his shoulders. “You got to let them do their job and they’re still following up on everything. They’re doing a good job.”

I'd still like to know more about Paul's son. Is it true he lived with his parents at the time Wm went missing? Early rumours said so....

And he seems to be the person that was throwing shade at the neighbour who moved away.

Thank. Yes we all agree. IMO we should just wait for the inquest. I have a feeling we will be hearing more about PS state of health.

Also No.13 has a pool. Not sure what others.

Ellendale intersects Benaroon. From where William disappeared to where one guesses is a pool at 13 Ellendale, it's 137m in a straight line. Further if one went by road rather than cross country. But if William wandered anywhere, there's no implausibility in him covering that distance.

Edit: Oops. I'm running a bit behind the times.

Thanks Sleep. Yes it was not the Magistrate, hence why I said we don't know if PS has a mental illness for sure.

I firmly believe that happened.
The foster parents were concerned that nothing had been investigated since Jubes was put on the back-burner.
Freakin' disgusting.
