Eight dead in mass shooting in Hanau, Germany
"Eight people are dead following two shootings in the western German city of Hanau, local media report.

Five others were reportedly injured after an unknown attacker opened fire on two shisha bars in the city.

The first shooting was at a bar in the city centre, while the second was in Hanau's Kesselstadt neighbourhood, according to the reports.

Officials say the suspects fled the scene and are currently at large, Bild newspaper says.

Police officers and helicopters are patrolling both areas.

Three people were killed in the first shooting, and five in the second, regional broadcaster Hessenschau reports. The motive for the attack is unclear.

Hanau, in the state of Hessen, is about 25km (15 miles) east of Frankfurt."

Law enforcement hasn't commented on the identities of the injured or dead. It's too early.

Bild (German media) says the first shooting occurred at the Midnight shisha bar in Heumarkt in the town centre. Then there was a second attack at the Arena Bar & Cafe in Karlsbader Strasse.

Yes, it looks like right-wing ideology and hatred for foreigners were a motive. I'm a bit surprised at the age of the gunman. He was a middle-aged man.

In his manifesto, he must have been referring to the possibility that there are more secluded bases like the Muslim extremist terrorist training camp found in New Mexico in 2018. Where the remains of a little boy were found.

According to Heavy.com: "Kings College London Professor, Peter Neumann said that Rathjen called for the extermination of persons from the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa. Rathjen did not name Islam or any other religion by name, Neumann said."

"Rathjen alleges that the U.S. is under the control of “invisible secret societies.” He accuses them of being “evil” and using a “modern system of slavery.”"

So according to Rathjen, the US is evil, and the attack was not religiously motivated, but racially.

'Far-right extremist' behind Germany killings
Authorities are examining a video that appears to be from the suspect, posted online days before the attacks, in which he expresses right-wing conspiracy theories. German media say he also left a letter of confession.

The 71% is a misnomer. Too many variables were included in the measurement of a what constitutes a right-wing or left-wing terrorist attack according to PolitiFact.
Plus, we are speaking about Germany.
