I have found an old series that I'm now watching... not sure what night it is on. It's called "To catch a smuggler". on the old justice channel which is now the "True Crime Network". The focus is on international airports mostly, catching folks in Miami, New York, LA etc airports from non nationals.

Very interesting indeed! Also, was interesting in one episode that a gal admitted while in the US she smoked weed.. and they kicked her out/didn't let her into US.

Reason: Although she smoked weed where legal in Colorado, since she was not a US citizen.. she was not protected from state law allowing her to do so, and only came under federal law ...which does not allow smoking weed. (There were more reasons MOO why they didn't want her in... but this was the way to keep her out legally.. which is what happens in many cases)

A very eye opening show that I've never fathomed or seen before!

Tomorrow show, Tuesday 9/8/2020 at 10 pm Eastern time zone.

A new show on Investigation Discovery (ID) will be profiling Ce's (Sierah Joughin) story on Sept. 8th. The new series is called "Living a Nightmare" and her show is titled "The Long Way Home".

Brb with thread here at WS it has a Insider for this case posting about this show and some background on it. (NOTE: I corrected the insider day to correct to Tuesday)

Don't forget..next Monday (ED BY DIXIE: It is Tuesday) the 8th at 10PM on Investigation Discovery they will be featuring Sierah's story. Josh participated in this. I am hoping they do a MUCH better job than that awful show Oxygen did. This is supposed to focus more on her life and the family/those left behind

ETA: GUILTY - OH - Sierah Joughin, 20, Fulton County, 19 July 2016 #10

The Elisa Lam documentary on Netflix should be required viewing for anyone who fancies themselves a websleuther. The obsession people some people had with that case was crazy. Driving an innocent person to attempt suicide. Crazy conspiracy theories about using TB to kill off the homeless living on Skid Row. Scary stuff.

I am new hear and looking to watxh this later. Its such a sad story but so strange the theories surrounding it. Is it solved?

Today (Saturday) at 5:00PM on TCM: Anatomy of a Murder (1959). Based on a true story. Excellent film!

The True Story Behind “Anatomy of a Murder” (historictruecrime.com)

The film Anatomy of a Murder is a classic of 1950s noir movie making, telling the story of a young woman who claims she was raped by the town playboy. Her husband, in a fit of rage, kills his wife’s attacker and stands trial for first-degree murder. It’s up to the husband’s attorney to create a defense that will set his client free…an almost-impossible task given that several witnesses saw the defendant shoot his victim in cold blood.

The movie is based on a novel by attorney John Voelker (who wrote it under the pen name “Robert Traver”). The book itself is based on an actual case in which Voelker secured an acquittal for his client, Coleman Peterson, who shot tavern owner Mike Chenoweth after Peterson’s wife accused the latter man of rape in the sleepy town of Big Bay, in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, in July 1952...

It has a rotten tomatoes score of 100%, so must be excellent. Darn, TCM isn't in my cable subscription package.
