GA - Gene Siller, 41, Paul Pierson, 76, & Henry Valdez, 46, murdered, Cobb Co, 3 July 2021 *ARREST*

Looks like this is how they arrived at the convention. Pretty fancy set up. How much does one of these campers cost? From the Vega Soul Infusion FB page....Log In or Sign Up to View
@asleuther Cost of this fifth wheel RV?
Pic shows 2 slides on street side, but not much else I cannot tell about model or year this ^ pic shows. Grand Design RV has been in biz only since 2014.
@Herat gave info & px for a new one. Thx Herat.:)
FWIW, of course, $ price also depends on features, when it was purchased, etc., so could have been half that or less. I sorted this from lowest $ to highest.

This is a piece with many details on Rhoden’s previous arrests including at Atlanta airport in 2020 prior to boarding flight to LA with $19,500 of suspected drug money:

2 golf course shooting victims were bound, gagged in truck bed, warrant says

They just kept keeping his large sums of cash and letting him go.
I wonder how much cash he was carrying when they pulled him over the night of the murders, they don't say, just "a large sum".
Fake tags, no insurance, expired registration, 2 fake drivers licenses driving a crappy Maserati with broken lights.
And he was under Georgia's .08 limit and yet charged with DUI, "registering a blood alcohol content of .051, which is below the legal limit, warrants say".
Maybe they would have kept his cash and again let everything go, if not for coming after him later on the triple murder charge.

Not discreet behavior post triple murder. Doesn’t seem like the sharpest person to do this if there was a grand plan.

Wondering about police insisting he wasn’t a threat. This was strange to everyone who didn’t know he was in jail. How did they know so soon that he was a suspect? This story mentions his airport incident last year and “according to court papers, another agency tipped them off about Rhoden’s suspected drug activity.”

Who is Bryan Rhoden, the suspect accused of a triple murder at a Cobb County country club?

LE saying he wasn't a threat doesn't make any sense at all. Clearly they hadn't identified BR, at the time they let him bail out of the Chamblee jail on the DUI charges.

Do you think they just said that, for sake of not scaring the public? That's pretty concerning.

As a resident in their jurisdiction, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt … hoping they let him out to watch him. Do they do that sort of thing or is that too Hollywood? I’d like to think he was already being watched. The fact that he’s gotten off other times might indicate some level of cooperation, no?

edit- thinking about this, looked up the local police statement, July 7 (the day after Rhoden was released on DUI, etc.). He was a free man when they said this:

“Current information reveals there is not an active threat to the public at large and there was not a directed threat to residents in the community.”

Maybe they knew from clues at scene that it was targeted at Pierson and Valdez. So no threat to “public at large” and “residents in the community” but most people would disagree with that. IMO.

I've seen quite a bit of online speculation that he's a hit man but no way would a hit man be that sloppy.
Maybe set up by a hit man but definitely not hired as one

I've heard it enough in cases sometimes I think it's just standard.
Don't even look to see how many active serial killers there are right now, there's no threat to the public.

He's been let off by LE so much it's almost like he was working for them.
Remember Whitey Bulger, running the Boston Winter Hill Gang while he was an FBI informant? His FBI agent handler told him he was about to be arrested and he amazingly "disappeared" for 16 years with his girlfriend to beautiful Santa Monica.
Maybe something crazy like that.
It just makes no sense he was never convicted for anything except speeding once in Indiana, if that, maybe it was dropped too.

That or maybe his parents have money and/or are well connected? He grew up in Smyrna and at one point did go on to be a college student at GSU. Hard to believe no repurcussions for shooting a person in the chest as a college student. Can we tell from the criminal records if he was represented by a public defender or a private attorney for the chest shooting case when he was 18?

Not sure he came from that kind of money, the kind needed for this stuff.

From WSB - criminal defense atty interviewed Pinetree Country Club shooting | Suspect Bryan Rhoden's past | 11alive.com

Regarding GSU case being sealed:
“Strickler said there are a few reasons court records can be sealed.

The accused could be cooperating with authorities, or they could be part of a larger criminal investigation.”

He also was said to have assaulted an officer at the airport and had to forfeit drug money more than once. Yet nothing on his record.

Ahh, that makes sense, if he was an informant giving LE info on bigger criminals up the chain. How in the world did he get Bruce Harvey to represent him this time? A big case like this will be $$$. Even if he could afford the $25K retainer....

The case was sealed so no court papers to see a lawyers name, it is filed as “nolle prossequi"-"legal Latin meaning "to be unwilling to pursue".
In Commonwealth and US common law, it is used for prosecutors' declarations that they are voluntarily ending a criminal case before trial or before a verdict is rendered; it is a kind of motion to dismiss."

The other two dudes in the car were charged right away but not B Rod, even though he shot Flournoy 3 times.
B Rod and Knight were 18, Flournoy 19.

"The passenger of the car, Knight, was immediately handcuffed and arrested.
Police have charged Flournoy with Assault Felony, Attempted Murder, Possession of Firearm on Campus Misdemeanor. Charges are pending against Rhoden for Assault Felony, Attempted Murder, Possession of Firearm on Campus Misdemeanor.

Police surveillance video shows aftermath of GSU shooting | 11alive.com
"After the shooting, video shows Rhoden jumping a fence and running down the street before collapsing in front of a GSU police precinct."

[After being shot in the chest!]

"There’s some shrubbery around here and that’s where we found the Glock 40 caliber and the almost pound of marijuana,” said [GSU Deputy Police Chief] Mullis. “It looks like he was the seller because the drugs were in his bag.
Police have charged Flournoy with aggravated assault, attempted murder and possession of a firearm on campus.
Rhoden has not been formally charged yet, but police believe he'll face the same thing and probably something related to the drugs

ETA: along with everything else, he was selling an underweight pound, probably took some for himself after he got it from his supplier

That would be dangerous. Here in Montana, there was a recent case of two homicides for that exact situation. Both the seller, and the buyer died. They shot each other. How crazy is that? Over weed?

Maybe he’ll end up like this other guy who hired Harvey. Starts off like he can afford him to make a show and then he ends up with no one. Kenndric Roberts, a man charged with human trafficking out of a home in a residential neighborhood (Diamond Kitty case) hired Harvey in 2017. Fast forward to 2019 and he was representing himself. Not sure what happened to him.

Yes, I remember this case! Yes, I will not be surprised if we soon hear that Rhoden has new or no representation.

Bruce Harvey will be busy at the Jim Ellis Maserati dealership getting his new ride spruced up to resell :)

Age 23. It will disgust me to no end if Rhoden has been able to avoid charges on his previous crimes if he is, indeed, an "informant". At what point does that end?

I guess, when he is involved in a triple homicide.

Hmmm, if indeed. Would be quite interesting and intriguing if Harvey came out later and said he couldn't represent Rhoden due to conflict of interest with "other clients" he has ... that he's on retainer for.
