He was not eligible for a “not guilty” plea, they deliberated between involuntary manslaughter, 2nd degree and 1st degree. The judge threw out voluntary manslaughter.
Thanks for the info @peanutbutterandjustice. I’m not sure what you mean when you say “he was not eligible for a ‘not guilty’ plea.” I googled but nothing popped up to explain your terminology. I assume he pled “not guilty” which is why there was a trial. So the jury could have found him “not guilty“ instead of the other options they were given. Thanks!
