Good evening that would also mean that he returned to the scene where he disposed of Brianna's body after abducting another victim.

Nancy's on now discussing the case with Ed Miller of AMW. Belief is that the underwear even could've been stolen, or an unreported rape and that the underwear wasn't accidentally left there. They're citing other serial killers who kept trophies.

Lion posted earlier that she was found nude. That got me wondering if he is saving her clothing as a trophy then to place with another victim.

I am assuming, of course, that leaving the underware with Brianna was not accidental.

I wonder if any of Brianna's clothing was found in that field? If not, then the suspect is probably saving it, either as a souvenir or to place with his next victim.

Hi everyone this is my first post here. I'm from Reno and I am extremely interested in this case and I have some observations that I wanted to share with you.

-I live less than one mile from where Brianna was found. Every day, I attend school at the North end of the UNR campus, literally across 2 streets from where Brianna was kidnapped. Every morning, I also work out at a gym called "The Stadium", which is on gateway drive one block from where her body was found. When the weather is good, I run the gateway--offenhouser--east huffaker--double R-- Sandhill--back to gateway loop. Sorry, you can follow what I say on mapquest and I will try to explain everything in detail. It makes me literally ill to think I have been where this person has been, and I may have some insight into the case that I don't know of. But, here is what I have to contribute:

- The house she was taken from is on a small stretch of N. Sierra Street that is NOT under surveillence. One block north of Mackay Court, on Sierra street, there is an apartment complex with cameras, a bar (The little Waldorf saloon) with camera, a 7-eleven with cameras (at which they sell the exact brand of condoms shown in the pictures), and a restaurant with cameras. One block south of Mackay court there is a dorm parking garage (not the same one where the previous rape was) with cameras, a couple dorm buildings with cameras, and a business complex with cameras. All of these are on the East side of sierra Street. On the West side of Sierra street one block south of Mackay court there are security cameras on a student housing building where the entrance is literally on Sierra street. The perp must have known this, and if he was walking Sierra street at night, he must be on footage somewhere if he walked more than one block. Why don't we have him anywhere on camera??? The parking garage on Virginia where one rape occurred has two entrances to the floor where the crime happened: one is through the back door of the UNR Police station, directly into the garage. The other is down an elevator or stairwell to the area where it happened. Both entrances are under camera surveillence. One cannot drive into the garage without a permit at night, so he must have been on foot. Once again, why don't we have camera footage.

I hate to speculate, but I am inclined to believe that the perp may even be a cop because of the odd placement of these crimes. Of course, it could just be his luck too that he was never on camera, or his face may have been hidden by a sweatshirt.

- The route from the house to the field she was left is NOT a direct route. In fact, if one were to be driving on US 395 south and saw the industrial area in question and wanted to get there, you would have to know that you have to take one exit north or one exit south of where it LOOKS like the area is. This is because there is no connection from Double R blvd from 395 directly, but a fairly circuitous route from either 1. S. Virginia exit to Patriot drive to Offenhouser to gateway to sandhill to double R. OR 2. S. Meadows Exit to Double R to Sandhill. This leads me to believe that he did not enter the area via the highway, but rather from S. McCarran blvd, which makes a circle around the city. From S. McCarran, Double R connects to S. Meadows. If one were taking Double R down South Meadows to get into a rural area at the end of Double R and ran out of time or wanted to get away, and took a right on Sandhill, you would end up directly in front of the field.

- The area where she was left is interesting-- the apartment complexes on Offenhouser dr. and Patriot are known as some of the poorest housing in Reno. Just up McCarran Blvd from Double R, there is an area of "ghetto" housing that I would not walk in at night. This is off of Longley lane and McCarran, behind the airport. The field where she was left is not an "undeveloped" area. It is very developed, it just happens to be a lot of industrial land for sale. There are many of them in these industrial areas but don't be fooled-- it is one of the biggest industrial areas in town. Also, the apartments and condos right next to the area are some of the most expensive and luxurious in town (Tanamera apartments, Fleur de lis).

-It occurred to me this morning that one can definitely see the field she was left in from the windows in my gym, the Stadium. This is a place where many professional athletes train in Jiu Jitsu, boxing, baseball, basketball and karate. That may fit with the physical description of the perp. You can also see the body from every 3rd story or above building around the field, and these buildings are well-lit, leading me to believe that he put her there on purpose, rather than thinking it was truly an "open field".

-Another point is that in the building next to the field where she was left is a modeling agency. Maybe the placement was some sort of weird statement about her being beautiful??? Its a modeling/recruiting agency (John Robert Powers) that is pretty high-dollar with a lot of traffic of young girls. At night, that area is fairly deserted with the exception of the IGT gaming plant, the apartments, and the Stadium gym. You have to imagine that on any given day in this area 3/5 cars will be bmws or lexus, and every other woman walking around has a designer handbag. Its that type of area, with high-end clothing stores and spas in the small strip malls.

- In my jogging route around the area, it is easy to notice that this field is one of the smaller 'open' spaces around the area. Just across Sandhill there are jogging trails through the open desert mountains where there is probably 60+ acres of open area, including a deserted ranch that is quite creepy. There is also a park just north of Offenhauser drive flanking these trails that has an irrigation ditch. My point is that if he really knew this area he could have put her somewhere she wouldn't be found. Or even in a better place to be found immediately, in the park. So, I honestly feel that he does not live or work in the immediate area of the field. I would believe that he lives off of mccarran blvd and longley ln, which is a direct shot to double R. Double R would also be the most deserted area on a sunday of a 3-day weekend.

- The fact that these rapes have occured in the early morning hours on weekends leads me to believe he may work a night shift. To my knowledge, none of the warehouses immediately around where bri was found have 24 hour operations. However, there is a Super Wal Mart off of Damonte Ranch blvd, which intersects double R about 2 miles from where she was taken. There is also a hospital about 0.75 miles down double R from where bri was left. There is a Barnes and noble warehouse, a casino, grocery store, gas stations, the airport, and a major UPS distribution center within a mile of where she was taken, off of Mccarran---all places with 24 hour operations.

I know this may seem crazy to some folks, but I was wondering if this perp could possibly be a male stripper/dancer. Those guys shave their pelvic region, work nights, and several of them work out at my gym...I don't know any of them, but I wonder if the thong left was possibly from another stripper ?.

This case has really turned into a witch hunt in Reno and I hope LE finds more specific clues. I am so very deeply sad for Brianna's family and I pray that they find this perp and bring him to justice.

I also believe that if there is a spouse or significant other in this persons life then there is their motive to make the call.

First, what an excellent point! I've had BTK on my mind for weeks now! This guy blended in like camoflage, no one had any reason to suspect him.

Having stated that it has struck me as odd that although he does attack from behind, whether or not these victims have seen him or not, they don't appear to be alarmed in any way.

I think, and and/or HoneyWest can correct me if I'm wrong, that many people drive trucks and SUV's in Reno. A huge number of people drive trucks in the Austin, TX area where I'm from. But, there didn't seem to be anything outstanding reported like he may have driving a Lincoln Navigator, driving a beat up old truck, or wearing designer clothes. He may be a regular guy as you said. That's what I tend to think, too.

Serial rapists/killers come from all walks of life. The man who attacked me in 1983 was an engineer for a huge company that made the high tech (for that time) parts for aviation jets. He was attractive, well spoken, and well educated. During the time throughout his attacks of 8 known young women he got engaged, got married, and he and his wife had a baby. He lived in a nice home in a nice neighborhood. No way on earth would anyone have pegged him for a serial rapist.

Welcome Skipper. Wow. I am so overwhelmed with your great post. You know Reno like the back of your hand. I'm curious, since you attend UNR - has there been word of there being other unreported sexual assaults around campus in the last few months? Some people think this perp is a new-be to crime, while others think it's quite possible he has more experience than we know. Also, do you know anything about the Mackay Ct. house where Brianna was being a "party house" that random people just come in and out of? It's been brought up here that maybe the perp had been in the house before - that he was known to one of the housemates. The stripper/*advertiser censored* actor theory has also been posed by several posters.
