This is still a pending lawsuit. It has not been disposed. The last action taken was in May of 2009.

ETA: The child mentioned in the lawsuit, I believe, is the one who has the same first and middle names as the other offender from that poem by the woman who claimed she was raped. The offender, as in, not the one that was arrested (Coldiron).

I might be mistaken about this, but I believe someone said that one of the Billings children had this name.

If someone knows differently, I will gladly change this post.

OK. Now before I even post what I'm about to say let me reiterate that I have not associated or even spoke to Pat Poff in about the last 20 years. Nor am I trying to present him in a "good" light, just stating my feeling about it all.

As I stated earlier I knew Pat (LPG Jr) as a child, we went to middle school and high school together, well 6th through 9th grade for me then I moved out of the area. I Took martial arts lessons from his Mother and Step Dad's studio. We were pretty good friends back then. I have been reading and trying to keep up with all the information you people are uncovering and with the news reports.

Most people are saying he was a really mean guy that he was a bully etc etc. the Pat I know and remember was always the good guy. He would take up for the kids that WERE getting bullied, and I can honestly say that I never once heard of anyone that was bullied by this guy. Hell the one fight I remember witnessing that he was involved in, his mom came to his rescue after the other kid kicked his butt.

He was super nice and was always well behaved around my parents.

Really he was the one that would try and talk you out of doing bad stuff.

The only thing so far that sounded remotely familiar is the ninja stuff.

We had a fantasy group that me him and a couple other boys from the taekwondo class "created" that would be a crime fighting unit. AKA "Super heroes" the name of the group was to be "Vig" like short for vigilante...

our uniforms were to be ninja outfits lol

Now of course this was all fantasy and never acted on, but we did "train" if you will in multiple attacker exercises and stuff on our own, meaning we would be in the studio practicing with each other. We were probably 13 years old at the time if that



So I am like really floored by all of this. Anyone can change in 20 plus years, and I know that, I'm just going WOW I cant believe this.

My heat and prayers go to all these victims and their children... such a senseless act.
 
dood thanks for info and perspective. From what I read, he was not characterized as a "bully" per se, but as a loner and someone not to mess with, maybe not quite mentally grounded. Was that your impression -- any bad vibes at all, or within the range of "normal" -- what do you think of the sock-puppet websites, and rabid talk about getting his girl back?

Not trying to be a pain, just get insight.

I would agree and have informed my wife and daughter to beware someone whom is super-nice as much as someone whom appears to be psycho. Sadly though ... she didn't heed my advice and made friends with a super-nice couple over the internet and the guy turned out to be very-very much a psycho with a extensive criminal background and was clinically manic-depressant.

I remember pat not being overly popular but he did have friends quite a few. We pall'ed around for probably close to 2 or three years and I never felt threatened around him, he was very charming and nice. He was always looking out for the little kids and the new kids to middle school that would get picked on.

As I'm thinking about it now, the fight I mentioned earlier was because he was taking up for another kid, the guy he was fighting was a senior and he was in 8th grade at the time I think it was.

I never noticed then, (strangeness) but as I think of it know I would surely percieve it as strange and I would chuckle about the Vig group, but not now as its so eerily similar to to the current group.

I have seen the myspace pages and all the information the members of this site have uncovered (great job btw) and yes, I do think hes deffo off his rocker now its obvious that those pages are by someone that doesn't have all his screws.

But a theory that you might not be thinking that sounds more like the Pat I know or knew (weather its grounded in reality or not remains to be seen) is that maybe in his obvious unstable mind he felt somehow like he was doing something good, like the hero. Sure would fit the the "making a move for humanity" tag..

stranger things have happened.

Okay, after much looking around... I am realizing that 5th dimensions isn't technically "on the books" as a legit business. Most likely a cash and carry - IMO

ALSO, in that same court document, it appears they attempted to serve papers to "BASHA'S"

This appears to be a business in Boca Raton owned by a "Brenda Wertheim," and it is a Jewelry Store.

Any thoughts on this one?

Hi there! I think we resolved that these are the biological children of Michael Billings, Byrd Billings biological son from his first marriage.

ETA - It appears that Byrd and Melanie became the legal guardians for them both.
