Thanks Kat, Nurse, & Elley. Been wondering about the dumpster "confiscation"

Thanks for the videos! Now to clarify just one more thing, is the Watson house (aka sprinkler house) the house where Jersey was temporarily staying? Or is that yet another house (I'd thought it was the house across the street from Irwin/Bradley house, but that might be wrong)?

It seems like I might have heard that from Jersey's former landlord. But when I finally tracked down a post of mine where I linked that vid, the link was dead. :banghead:

So...I don't know. If I can find the landlord video, I'll post it.

LOL...this dumpster is becoming a thorn in my side.

Can anyone provide any msm links about when this dumpster was confiscated by LE? Or can any locals tell us what they know about the dumpster being confiscated?

most awesome peeps... I have moved your dumpster confiscation sleuthing here to the dumpster thread.. when you guys get a "fact" sleuthed you can post it in the facts thread...

The dumpster is driving me up the wall too. All I keep hearing is that it disappeared, but at the same time, I am hearing the word confiscated. Is it possible that the company that owns it moved it, either so that there wouldn't be another fire or that whoever rents it asked that it be removed because they feared another fire?

I'm positive LE took it, what I can't find out is WHEN they took it. :banghead:

I have not seen what appears to be a burnt dumpster at the 'reported' (you know why I put it in parentheses!) site. I only noticed a dumpster that appeared to be non-burnt right after it came out about the dumpster fire. I did look! But I cannot confirm that I glanced at the proper address because I am not sure about any of the reporting here.

From article Friday Oct 7 2011:

Investigators examined the trash from the fire two times. On Friday they examined it again. Also on Friday, police returned to the Johnson County Deffenbaugh Industries' landfill for the second time.

It sounds like the dumpster was still at the complex as of Oct 7, for media to know they examined the trash again.

WHAT, In da Middle??? You are not sure of any of the reporting here??? How ever could that be??? Lol.

If you look on the map Just K did for us, you can see that the Watson's don't live on N Lister, they live one street over on N Chelsea (#70 on the map):

http://neighbors.whitepages.com/sea...treet=3620 N Lister Ave&where=Kansas City, MO

The couple who sighted the man carrying a baby also live on N Chelsea (#17 on the map)

This is a great tool - but which house belongs to Mary Hurt? The house right next to her is the sprinkler house which had the footprints and whose backyard faces the apartment complex where the dumster fire was.

This is NOT the house where Jersey stayed illegally - that house is on N Lister.

The sprinkler house belongs to the Watsons on N Chelsea. (I provided the link to that info earlier).

I work security for a rather large healthcare tech company in KC. We have several buildings around the city. One of them is an old casino right on the river, also right next to where they had the police post the first few days. On Monday before Lisa was reported missing, we also had a dumpster fire that was found around 8pm at this building. The only one still there was a cleaner. I dispatched my officers down there and the fire department came and put out the fire. We narrowed it down to the cleaner going out for a smoke which she does all the time, and tossing her cigarette into the dumpster. It's been really dry here. And there were cans of sterno fuel in the dumpster from catering. I didn't think much of it until the next day when detectives showed up to talk with my officer that is posted at that building during the day, although he was not there for the fire. The detectives then returned the next day.

I only bring this up because there is direct river access from behind our building. Other spots would make it difficult to reach the river in that area, which again is accessible by both major streets that surround the Irwin house, Brighton and Chouteau (also the same street as Festival Foods where the wine was purchased and where the diapers were found in the abandoned house).

I don't think our fire had anything to do with case, but I just wanted to say that the river is very close and you can drive or walk to the edge.

bbm= wow! So it's very possible the fire had nothing to do with anything? Just found this as I was reading other posts and it is the first I've seen anywhere about this, so I was just shocked. Is that the last we heard about this? No further info on the cleaner etc/??

Doesn't surprise me. I thought the dumpster fire was part of the reason they searched the landfill twice. But I also thought the dumpster turned up nothing and apparently had no connection. That's why I was surprised to see this thread still active.

I put yes on this one... mostly because the two "theories" that seem most plausible to me ( either DB or Jersey/MW) involve people who don't have the means to travel very far to get rid of evidence... Also, the location of the dumpster coincides with the sightings and the direction the man seen with baby was walking. This is also why I just can't get past thinking the Watson's house (sprinkler house) needs to be checked by le or dogs... If DB or Jersey/MW are involved then there is likely another place/sight involved that has evidence! And it is going to be close since none of these folks seem to have transportation.. not sure about MW though. Does anyone know if she has a car/dl???

According to Mary Hunt, the Watson's neighbor, the Watsons did allow LE to search the house. They also took plaster casts of footprints in the yard. (Don't ask me for a link though, because I'm google blind at this point.)

No idea if MW has a license, but every account I've ever read (including tweets from a reporter) state that she seems to walk everywhere, so I would venture to say she doesn't have a car. Can't verify that with a msm link that definitely states she doesn't have one, but logic would seem to imply to me that she doesn't.

Interesting point about DB, MW and Jersey all either not having vehicles, or not being legally permitted to drive. I hadn't even made that connection, to be honest...although WHY I didn't is beyond me.

Thx. I have been trying to find out info on whether or not the Watson's house was searched since reports first came out about that house in relation to this case... Actually, trying to find an answer to that question is what finally drew me out of "lurking". I looked at all the forums (of course, you guys are the best!) for an answer, but nothing I found mentioned it. I must have missed that interview. I hope they searched it good, because it just really makes sense given what we know of Jersey, and it fills that timeline in nice and tidy for me (IF he's the one).

Dr. Fessel posted this on another thread:

Are we even sure there really was a dumpster fire or did someone just see MW behind the dumpster with her head sticking up?

LOL. ;)
