The blood/sperm faction evidence was found on the rubber part of the door frame. I don't often clean there and the size and color would be easy to miss during a thorough cleaning, IMO

Oh I don't expect this to happen he is getting 25 yrs however if that 1 percent can't reach a verdict there will be outrage across the world jmo.

I don't think in the world..maybe the southern part of Ontario..I've never heard any outrage over the CA case and that was a well known case...maybe outrage in the US..but not here in Canada or elsewhere. most I had heard anyone say was.."oh she more than likely did it" ..JMO actually this case is not followed by many outside those areas (southern Ont.)...most people you mention it to they respond with.."oh that little girl from a few years back...thought someone already confessed and is in jail"....sorry but that's the truth...not everyone follows crimes unless they are in their backyard...so to speak...JMO JMO JMO

I hope this will be talked about tomorrow in the Crown's closing!!! This is a really bothersome piece of evidence to me. It says a lot, JMO.

Actually this was the first Judge that said this - I can't remember his name, but see his face clear as day. Last name started with an "S" if I remember correctly - Stanton? I don't think that right - I almost had it, now I have to go look LOL!

Derstine: what about your client? Where was he when Tori was murdered? Why was his phone off for two hours coincidentally at the time Tori was raped and murdered and disposed? How was he horrified? The car seat? Not there you say? So a child is sitting in the back on top of nothing but a frame and blankets. Not very thoughtful. Can't say anything in regards to your own client directly because he didn't testify? Too bad....that was four hours of blah blah blah blah blah blah..........Next.....JMO

I do not think it is a strange statement to make,I think no one will want MR to be their neighbour. He most certainly would not be welcomed back in Woodstock. Do you think RS/JG/TM will not put up some sort of fight to have him removed from the town? If he moved into my neighbourhood I would lock my kids up and most certainly do everything in my power to make him move. I wouldn't care if he was found innocent, nope not one little bit, he wouldn't be my neighbour long. I believe most people who have young children would feel this way if he moved in next to them. JMO

This tweet has me baffled....why would the defence bring this up...to me this proves that TLM and MR discussed the need for a hammer as a murder weapon. MOO

The purported targeting of Tori formed part of a loose theory of the crime — though an accused person doesn’t have to offer a theory of what happened or a lick of evidence — Mr. Derstine floated in his cross-examination of McClintic.
By the theory he advanced then, Mr. Rafferty allegedly “thought nothing of it” when McClintic showed up with a little blond girl in tow; she told him she was “in the car for a drug debt;” and when she offered Tori to him sexually, and when he made it clear “he didn’t want your gift,” she directed him to a rural location, sent him away from the car and suddenly killed the child.
“Mr. Rafferty came back after the death, was horrified, but helped you clean up,” Mr. Derstine said then.
He didn’t repeat most of these elements Monday, suggesting instead at some point “Michael may have come to realize the girl was being held against her will,” and noting only science — the forensic evidence — was silent about whether “poor Tori had been sexually assaulted.”

Really? And that's OK? Hmmmm.....

After the little girl was killed, Mr. Derstine said, there’s no doubt his client was “covering things up” but that may have been for the same reason someone flees from a car accident, “because you’ve done something wrong, but not all the wrong they think you’ve done.”

Exactly as soon as this was tweeted I had to go back as no one was saying anything and I thought that I lost my mind. Why would this come out and not in the crowns or crosses questions? So weird jmo

Did you miss the video link back in may 2009 when he was being escorted out of a building. I think it is obvious that many are angry with MR...he was there, he was involved in a murder of an innocent 8 yr old child, he could have saved VS's life if he was innocent like the defence is stating.

The mother boiled down the years of raising Michael Rafferty into a few short but firm statements about her son.
"He's not guilty and it hurts like hell. It hurts," Deborah Murphy said outside court Monday.

Do you mean the back of the front seat? IIRC, those tested as being MR and TLM's DNA. Tori was excluded.

A mixture of blood and semen was found on the back of the front passenger seat, but McLean did not give any evidence about how long they had been there. Rafferty could not be excluded as the source of the semen and McClintic could not be excluded as the source of the blood, McLean said.

also he was installing speakers with another "girlfriend" and she was helping him so maybe he ripped a piece out at that time...who knows...have never believed that they took the car to a car wash at night...that was just another one in the string of lies from the mouth of that TLM.....JMO

The little piece of fabric could have fallen from under the seat when he took the seat out ... Left over from the original upholstery ...

After her arrest in 2009, McClintic told police Rafferty killed Tori, but at his trial, said she snapped and "savagely murdered that little girl."
That may be the only time McClintic is telling the truth, Derstine said
