It seems to me there was a lot of information all coming in from different places and all pointing at BSL. It goes without saying how grateful I am that all of these different individuals were brave enough to speak out and speak up. Based on what I have read, the salesperson's tip and Adam's conversations with LE were all around the same time period.

Imo, Mickey was chosen due his inability to connect with a prostitute; known as the less dead..due to their lifestyles and transient nature. Investigations are less than adequate in many of their cases.

Imo, word had got around & BSL had earned a reputation in the call girl community. Word was out to avoid BS Lavergne. Just a hunch..

These words struck me. 'Known as the less dead'. Is this a common terminology, or a phrase you coined? Seriously, I feel stupid.

I've never heard that either so you don't have to feel stupid alone. We can feel it together. Lol

My own interest was more of a naturalist's.

ETA: When I was a child growing up pretty free to roam in the Georgia woods at will, two cardinal rules of safety were drilled into my head from my earliest years:

(1) Watch out for snakes!!
(2) Don't touch ANY mushrooms!

I was almost grown before I would even consider eating any kind of mushroom, even the ones from a grocery store.

Ridgeway actually attended her book signings & seminars, yet never purchased a book.
He was monitoring the investigation and perfecting his craft.
Gr would go to the airport & pick up cigarette butts to place near his victims remains to misdirect investigators(indicating a traveler).
Although his iq was only 82, le thought he was idiot savant. Imo, he honed his skills for decades(as did bsl, imo) due to the magnitude; victim total. There were thousands of pois & suspects in the gr investigation for two decades. He was arrested 11/2001 due to upgrades in dna technology which was available 5 years prior...sad..

ot......went on a trip recently and flew out of nola. Got an email from my brother later that day saying be careful of the weirdos while traveling. I replied not to worry, i had left all of the weirdos in nola. Lol!

I think tonight of the men/women who traveled out that August morning, to that isolated, lonely cemetary. A task set before them... to retreive Mickey. The anticipation on the drive there, the angst as the task began, then...uummpphh. A body.

I salute these men/women of service. Who perform tasks, such as these, that most of us would not fathom. Certainly not each and every day on the job...but August 7, 2012 will forever ring vivid in their memory.

And then...they end their day...return home, kiss the wife/hubby and kids, maybe cut the grass, put a steak on the grill, listen to James Taylor...

A personal thank you to all law enforcement, tasks forces, forensic scientists, coroner's office...I pray for you guys tonight.

Thanks so much for thinking of the people behind the scenes, the ones who give so much of their hearts and time to bring victims home to their families. I work as a volunteer first responder and I am always in awe of the selflessness of the emts, firefighters, volunteers, LE, the coroner and so many others who strive to ensure that the victim is treated with the utmost care and dignity.

I see how things like them take an emotional toll on them but they feel honored to be able to bring any measure of comfort to a family. I see how they go beyond their call of duty to give volunteer, comfort family members and take days off of their paying jobs and spend their own money to be able to help out. You can bet they go home and hold their loved ones a bit tighter and truly appreciate the blessings they have in life.

I am sure your words mean a lot to those who worked so tirelessly to find Mickey, bring her home to her family and bring her killer to justice. These guys and gals don't do it for the recognition or the praise but it means a lot to them to know that their efforts meant something to those involved in the case

I am personally so very impressed with how everyone involved in this case just did not give up. I was so proud of all of my fellow Louisianians who joined up here on WS and really worked this case from every possible angle.

And Mickey, sweet, tenacious Mickey who was a force to be reckoned with and gave BSL the whipping of his life. I am in awe of her strength and perseverance. She put a hurting in him, scarred him for life and her spirit lives on as an inspiration to everyone who knew her and even to those who never met her. I hope BSL is completely humiliated and ridiculed in prison when everyone know how badly he was whipped by a tiny little girl.

Not I, Crimson clover, Dr. Egger, who also coined the phrase 'Jurisdictional Linkage Blindness' in the 1970s... why serial killer cases go unsolved...go figure..huh? The only tool that law enforcement has in their arsenal to combat jurisdictional linkage blindness is the American Public(DWT)

Their feelings (their own feelings) and minds are abnormal.
"that" was his way of punishing her for stabbing him. He had to
get in the last blow.

The mind is such a powerful thing, to think that someone could be in such a condition (stabbed, bleeding, pain..) and still physically be able to go through with that, it is truly horrendous and frightening.

IIRC she told LE about the DL, scratches and the fact that his white truck had been stolen.

Consider that Sean Vincent Gillis is a convicted serial killer that stalked, ... same time as Derrick Todd Lee. LE wasn't aware of Gillis, or had not tied his victims to a serial killer til the DTL investigation.
