So true! The rumor mill is rampant...like the old school telephone game where you whisper in your neighbor's ear and pass it down the line. I think some of it must be like acid in a gaping wound to the Stouffers.

I feel a bit helpless as to what to do....how can we as locals get the Palmyra PD, the Lebanon Co Detectives or the DA to release something??? Who has influence? Reporters? It seems like nobody can compel them to hold a press conference.....and I really want to know why no searches, too.
I'm wondering if public pressure and outcry would help. On the other hand, if LE isn't responding to the parents with specifics, then It would be unlikely that would help. JVM has had the case twice on her show -- a follow-up by either JVM or Nancy Grace's Bombshell would be ideal.

Have locals bugged MSM for updates???

Maybe Kortne and sleepover guy planned to continue to party that night, until the fracas in the foyer changed the tone of the evening. So he may have just decided to go to sleep (I would have) and let her do her thing until she wore herself out.

I think that this may be what happened. I don't believe he went back with the intentions of anything happening. When I was younger, the majority of my friends were male, and I certainly wouldn't bat an eyelid at them crashing the night, whether my boyfriend was home or not. If any of them wanted to crash on our couch or in the spare room there wouldn't be any doubt whether or not they were welcome, or had an ulterior motive.

I also don't doubt the possibility that he did fall asleep, even with Kortne banging around. Especially at that time of the morning. It could be that he was exhausted after a big night, and just passed out, woke up in the morning, assumed Kortne was asleep (or even had gone out to meet up with someone else because she wasn't ready for bed), let himself out and thought he'd catch up with her later. Again, when I was younger, if you stayed the night at a friends place and they weren't awake when you were wanting to go home, you would just let yourself out and catch up with them later.

As much as it would almost defy logic, I am almost considering that she did wander out into the night and got into a car with the wrong people. It is just too hard to picture someone managing to haul her out of that house, alive or otherwise, on a night when the police have been paying regular visits and could be back again at any time.

I think this is a very real possibility. I doubt that if she were banging around after a confrontation she'd be happy to just go to bed. Maybe she decided she didn't want to hang around the apartment with a friend who had already fallen asleep, and had the option of going somewhere else with other friends. Maybe she left on foot with the intention of meeting up with friends (perhaps someone lived close by) and something happened to her on the way?

I just think that if something sinister had happened in the apartment, it would be easy to distinguish whether she was banging around in anger, or if she were being attacked. No doubt if she were being attacked there would be screaming and a lot more commotion than if she were just angry and banging her stuff around. I honestly don't believe the apartment is where Kortne 'went missing' from, I think there was a second location.

Whatever happened, I pray that she will be brought home soon.

they said her purse was there,, but just curious, wonder if her Drivers license, SS card, and maybe a birth certificate, if she had a copy, are still there

The neighbor said too that the banging and stomping was KS still upset. If he had any reason to believe that it may be here under attack, I'm pretty sure he would make mention of that.
snipped by me.

What is the source where the neighbor said the banging and stomping was KS still upset.

How could the neighbor have known it was KS?

Is there a possibility that Kortne's landlord would have provided a key to her apartment to either of the neighbors?

Been following this case from the start... And at the end of the day (or wee hours of the night) where is Kortne? There really isn't a whole lotta info and this girl just disappeared out of nowhere! I hope and pray there is a break in the case.

Scott Stouffer said his daughter was angry at her next door neighbor for calling police on her boyfriend who was drinking and violated his probation.

After officers arrested her boyfriend, Kortne confronted and tried to hit her neighbor early the next morning.

Scott Stouffer said Cody Pruett, the man who stayed at Kortne’s apartment the night she disappeared, also exchanged hostile words with that neighbor.

Soon after, Kortne went back inside her apartment and stomped on the floor out of anger, causing the neighbor to call police again and left an angry message with their landlord.

Another call came within 30 minutes.

According to Kortne’s father and neighbors, Saksek called police after Kortne stomped on her apartment floor in anger.

Police said they knocked on both doors but made no contact with Kortne or Saksek, according to Matthew Scott, a Stouffer family friend.

Saksek, 44, declined to discuss the night’s events on the advice of a lawyer.

VELEZ-MITCHELL: And, again, we`ve tried to reach them. We haven`t been able to. They`re invited on our show any time.

Police responded to two 911 calls at Kortne`s apartment around the time she vanished. Let`s analyze this. The first 911 call, 3:12 in the morning. Somebody reporting Kortne and the dog barking and the neighbors arguing. Officers arrive. Three minutes later, they leave at 3:49.

Then at 4:12 in the morning, less than half an hour later, a second 911 call, a neighbor`s complaining about stomping and banging coming from Kortne`s apartment. A police officer shows up, knocks on the door, gets no response, and leaves.

Now, I want to go back to Scott, the father of this beautiful missing 21-year-old woman. You talked to the young man who`s there. Did he offer an explanation for the banging that was heard from the apartment where he was supposedly at? And did he explain why he didn`t answer the door when police knocked on it?

S. STOUFFER: Well, the explanation I got for the banging is that Kortne was so angered about the altercation with the neighbors. And as far as the police officer coming back the second time, the young man told me he`s a very hard sleeper.

Kortne's mom posted a sad message today...about how all of the various fundraisers, etc...(up to $40K now) and still, no sign of Kortne.

Ok so they didn't say exactly Todd Saksek. They actually included the father in this too. My point was that those who heard the noise and/or close to the situation have reason to believe that the stomping was Kortne doing that in anger.

I received info from someone who was driving on route 743 near adventure sports/brownstone realty.

Yesterday at about 11:30 am, they spotted a Palmyra Police car parked by a field off of 743. They stopped to check out what was going on and they saw a policeman and a lady with a dog walking back up from the field. He waited to see what was going on and they got in their cars (police and lady) and drove up to another field nearby.

The interesting part about this is that where they were at was nowhere close to Palmyra jurisdiction. I'm wondering if they received a tip that they felt was good enough for them (police) to follow up on out there.

It could be nothing related to the case, but a Palmyra Police officer out in a field by Adventure Sports is not something you see every day.

I'm assuming nothing came of it, as the person I talked to had left when they arrived at the other field. I just wanted to share that with everyone.

I was leaving the casino at Penn National yesterday afternoon around 1:00 and directly across from the parking gargage exit, there was a lady in that field with a dog. I found it very odd since there really aren't any houses around that immediate area.

Really funny how TS goes missing the same time Kortne goes missing. However TS returns......hmmmm.

That's interesting. Must have been the same lady. I believe he said the dog was a yellow shephard?

Possibly an independent searcher and she may have thought she found something of evidentary value.

Just wanted to wish you all a Happy Labor day. I'm quiet - there's not much new.

We have 2 possible scenarios (maybe more, but 2 very clear scenarios) and know nothing.

I just wrote this long entry but then deleted it. I can't wrap my head around it all.

Just curious - what are your thoughts? Was it CP or a neighbor?

Does anyone think she could be alive?

Like you, I don't know.. I keep changing my mind from she went with someone last minute to CP, to neighbor. So I guess what I am saying is. I have no clue. :(

Does anyone know if everyone left her apartment after the police came at 9:30 pm? Any ideas on why she went to the Gas Station? Did she go there by herself? Did she intend to meet CP and MR there or did they just happen to be there?

Like everyone else, I'm just trying to understand what happened. Thanks!

We don't really know much...
We are also wondering how her car got back to her house, but no word on that either.
We actually have very little; most of what we do have is from her dad, which is secondhand, as he is saying what he was told.

I'm sure people can tell by my recent post that I am thinking the neighbor. Honestly, in the beginning, I thought it was CP. I was dead set on that. I tried to share all of the info I could about CP and MR. But as this new information came out about all of the 911 calls and the physical altercation, my view changed drastically.

I almost feel like because this information about the neighbors and the fighting was withheld from the public for so long, we've already made up our minds about CP and MR. We should try to erase everything we know about the case and the players involved and start from scratch with ALL of the information we have available. I've tried this and it seemed very obvious to me that TS was involved. I just can't see a motive for CP. We can speculate on sexual motive but there was no proof of prior sexual relations. We can speculate on drugs, but there is no proof of an involvement of drugs with CP. We can speculate that MR was involved but there is no proof of him being anywhere near the apartment at that time.

We can speculate on TS being sent over the edge because there had just been a physical altercation and he had called police at least once or twice already that night about her. He also has a record of simple assault. It's not a very harsh crime and it was long ago but it could pertain to him not being able to keep his cool after being kicked, swung at and KS stomping on the floor after police leave.

I'll leave the whole lawyer thing out just because people can get a lawyer for a number of reasons, even innocent people.

Unfortunately, if either of these two had something to do with her disappearance, it's hard to imagine her being alive.

Unless she took off on her own, it is difficult to imagine she is alive; I can't think who would take her for this long, not ask for anything for her return, and instead be keeping her alive for over a month. She is not a child, she would be able to identify her captors. If she was abducted, it is unlikely she is alive, and if she got into an escalated fight, it is also unlikely.

In other words, in my opinion, it only seems possible for her to be alive if she took off.
