weekend discussion: discuss the trial here #154

I found this odd and wonder if the mods mind me posting...mods don't look! :) Just repeating what I heard on the tele

One of the HLN lawyers compared JA as being a flea that hops from dog to dog like a parasite because she needs that emotional connection at all times by linking up to any guy she comes in contact with (or something to that effect). This was stated after the question: Why did JA give her phone # to a guy on the plane trip flying back from TA's Memorial service.

I never thought of it that way but she seemed to suck the life out of all her men pals.
Sad, she sucked all the life out of TA :(

I posted a similar musing on the previous thread. Thought Mimi was a very credible, likable witness. Couldn't help but wonder what was going through Jodi's mind during her testimony, especially when Mimi said that she knew after three dates that she didn't have a romantic interest in Travis and told him in March that she wanted to be friends only. All that jealousy, rage and stalking. Mimi also said that Travis didn't ask her on the Cancun trip until sometime in May. Said she had some reservations because she thought Travis still held out hope that he'd win her over, but they had a heart to heart and he told her there was NO ONE (this means you JODI) else that he wanted to invite.

Convinced that if the Cancun trip wasn't the catalyst that sent Jodi over the edge, something else would have before too long.

Probably by the time I write and post this, someone else will have said the same thing - so I apologize for repeating...

Anyhow, I think it was the May 26th text messages the sealed TA's fate. I think that's the correct day of the messages that ALV just loved to reference when Travis went ballistic with JA and told her she was evil and the worst thing that ever happened to him - and basically she was out of his life forever. After that I don't think it would have made any difference with JA even if TA ended up going to Cancun by himself. She knew she was out for good and nothing was going to change his mind. OK, maybe she went to TA's home in June with the slim hope that she could change his mind but if not, then he was going to die - so Cancun really had little to do with the outcome.

And BTW - am I the only one who doesn't think it was abuse (or even inappropriate communication as Dr. D put it) when TA called her all those names? I just cannot imagine a world in which all of us must think through, and mentally edit, each and every word we speak to another person especially in the heat of anger. Travis was angry - very, very angry - and from what Ive seen of Jodi so far, those "abusive" words seem to fit her to a T. I believe the saying goes - call a spade a spade.

O/T: Every time I see the words "hippo campus" I think that's where the unsuccessful contestants on "The Biggest Losers" go to "edify" themselves.

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:

Thanks, I needed a good laugh!!

The camera was not on her mental inventory list of things she brought with her.

When asked about the 9mm gun she purchased, why not just say "I was going away to kill myself"? Why the panning for gold lie? Both were lies, but seems sostrange even for Jodi.

Because Travis said he wanted to marry a gold digger In his blog. It was a twist on that in my opinion.

I am only surprised that Jodi, obsessive stalking psychopath that she is, didn't take pictures of Travis' dead body and take the camera with her for future viewing. I guess that was just too risky, but I'll bet she thought about doing it and wished that she had.

Your note reminded me of mickee Daniels and the psychopathic bad names etc cetera that he says in his videos. Has he posted any recently?

I really had to laugh when Det. Flores said that he had a picture of her in pigtails and she said "Pigtails?" like it was the most preposterous thing she had ever heard and even better when he showed her the picture she said "that looks like me". Too funny. Even when she now knew that they had recovered all the deleted and washed pictures, it didn't throw her for too much of a loop. Very cool and controlled.

She may have appeared cool and controlled for the moment, but I'll bet she sweated up a storm that very night while she conjured up the Ninja defense for the very next day's interrogation.:rocker:

Party 001 is not the prosecution.

Under case documents, in this case, party 001 is ALWAYS referring to Jodi Arias. The case is not against the prosecution. Case documents refer to whoever the case is about.

If there were 2 defendants, above would show:

Prosecution (001)
Defendant A (002)
Defendant B (003)

But in the case documents section, Defendant A will be party 001 and Defendant B will be party 002.

Sorry but the poster you are correcting was correct and the info you posted is wrong-

If she wanted the evidence gone for good, she would have disposed of the camera, whether it be hers or his, along with the gun and knife---not thrown it in the washing machine.
She had things carefully planned out and premeditated but I can't believe throwing the camera in the washing machine was a part of her plan.
If she planned to take the camera with her, then why take the time to delete photos before she left Travis's house with everything else she had to clean up and the risk of one or both of the roommates coming home? She could have easily waited until she was on the road and away from the crime scene. Or why not simply take the memory card and leave the camera behind? The camera was a recent purchase for the Cancun trip and she took credit for helping Travis decide on which one to buy. In her mind, I think she believed that taking it would put a spotlight on her. Why would Travis's killer take the camera, yet leave his laptop, phone and other electronics? Whether she had taken the camera with her, or accidentally or intentionally put it in the wash, her actions demonstrated that she had the presence of mind to delete 10+ photos and doesn't comport with her PTSD-related fog-nesia. IMO, I think Jodi thought the wash cycle would ruin the camera and make the memory card unusable. Though she thinks she's the smartest person in the room, I honestly don't think it occurred to her that the police/investigators would be able to recover the deleted images. The camera is one of a boatload of mistakes she made while attempting to cover her tracks before, during and after the murder. Poor execution doesn't let her off the hook for premeditation.

I don't know how Det. Flores kept from laughing out loud with that ridiculous Ninja story and her down on the floor reenactment of what happened. How could she think for one moment that this story was believable?

I loved the end of that storybook lie.......after JA watched the 2 ninjas murder TA, they didn't think it necessary to kill their eyewitness to the crime. :floorlaugh:

Yeah, after cutting a man's throat, stabbing him 29 times, and shooting him in the head, they went into her pocketbook looking for her ID and let her off with a stiff warning to not tell anyone because they knew her name and where she lived. They followed that up with "she must be that b___ from CA". Completely laughable.

Oh, thanks for reminding me, I need to go look.
I love that guy!

This weekend, I am going to look at his whole channel of videos and make sure I haven't missed one. I think that he has about 20 by now.

ETA: published 4/19 - I haven't seen this one b4

Oh my god, hilarious! I must go to my doctor about my urinary incontinence! I was laughing so hard .. tears went down my legs! ;)

I used to be in love with steely Dan. do not tell him, but I am giving his ID bracelet back ( that is what we did in 5th grade when I was growing up) and giving it back to him.

I am now in love with Mikee ( actually, I have been for weeks since the first time I saw him! When I thought it was Steely !) for this case!

he is funny as chit, and knows this case inside out and its very very very smart! And QT also .

I have never gone and logged in to thank a video, so if you ever thank him give him two ....one will be for me! He is just so fabulous and I wish I knew who he was.

He is so wonderful he must be a member here!? ;)

She was at a ppl event and had receipts for the area that coincided. Heck, she was stopped by the police for the upside down plate. No need to document. And, Ryan Burns admitted that she was there on top of all that- although, yes she might have anticipated that he would lie.

Underlined by me.
:floorlaugh:

Kinda new, ex-LDS also, so there is a bit of perspective going on for me too, live in Arizona and have PTSD...so those are my 'agendas', so to speak:blushing:

:greetings:

Do you sew while you trial watch?

I wonder why JA did not flee after the murder? I know that she did not think that she would be caught but she had about 6 weeks after the murder until her arrest to flee.

Was on youtube listening to wilmott tear viciously into demarte. The day she wore the white suit, but demarte held her own. tH criticising demarte because she's to young. Well where does one start may I ask.
I've never seen wilmott that hostile with anyone! Venom was spitting from her lips. It's almost like she's taken her friendship with Jodie over the top? Am I imagining this or is it REALY that ovious. Lol maybe my meds are making me see/ hear things lol? Am I loca?

I think JW was just doing her job and her patience is probably wearing thin. I am sure everyone involved in this trial except JA is exhausted. I don't think JA and JW are really friends.
