I wholeheartedly agree. I also think that the mention of LB being involved in the "sex trade" is some pathetic justification for the TPS' lack of attention to her case. A "sex trade worker" suggests a member of a lower socio-economic caste --- one apparently not as worthy of police investigation as a middle class woman.

Overall, I am quite disgusted by today's "TPS CYA" presser.

They didn't even say things like We have received x number of tips, conducted x number of interviews and have opened lines of enquiry. They didn't ask for tips from the public. They didn't show any pics during the presser, just distributed one after. Didn't distribute pics of her distinctive jewellery. Being surprised at the soft *advertiser censored* thing tells me that haven't even searched for LB on FB , twitter or google. I find SL more credible than the police that they DID have the phone records. So what we saw was blah, blah, blah thorough investigation, blah blah thorough investigation, blah blah, sex trade worker. Not one member of the media there learned a single thing that was new except maybe the escort thing. If she worked from the internet, why didn't they show a headshot from her website? This was just a big exercise in CYA. LB is very loved by many friends, and they are no further ahead. I wish them luck, they're going to need it.
 
So it appears that DM was the second man in LBs life. I'm thinking she was cheating on her bf with DM.

I Googled LB for images and after pages and pages its probably unrelated but man does this guy look like DM. Funny He has the same last name as LB.

I don't think I am allowed to post the link. He is supposedly in Van, BC.
 
I'm glad to see some of the same outrage here that I feel with TPS 'investigating' LB's disappearance.

My biggest outrage is towards Carbone prefacing what passes for a TPS press conference with 'LB was involved in the sex trade.' Who cares? What does that mean regarding LB's disappearance? If TPS finds it necessary to announce a missing persons lifestyle then show the relevance - or stay quiet.

Utter nonsense, imo.

Have never posted this term before but feel the need now - WTF? Who are you guys? - I notice there are rarely any female TPS officers involved where it would be helpful and make a positive difference.

It's the same attitude, imo, that Vancouver Police and the RCMP had before 'discovering' Picton was kidnapping and murdering many, many woman from Vancouver. I'm not saying DM is the same caliber as Picton, but TPS learned nothing from that experience including an expensive inquiry. What a waste. Who decides when LE looks for a missing person and when they don't? I would like to see that in writing - not hear it from TPS.

My only consolation was how uncomfortable Carbone was - tripping over and repeating his words. Imo, he felt the pressure to be 'taking one for the team.'

And - TPS taking credit for any info in today's presser is shameful - we have heard or discovered everything here already - without TPS involvement. The search by TPS at DM's farm is just as I expected it would be - a sham to look like they were 'on it.' They had no leads, no info to search and wasted taxpayers money to put on a show for the public. Some will buy it, some won't.
 
they obviously have some evidence that suggests she was a sex trade worker, which also explains why her family was not so forth coming with information about her.. I would imagine being in that lifestyle alone would bring danger to herself at the end of the conference he says there were many supplementary reports added to the original occurance

hmmm so was DM a paying customer of LB's? Perhaps he didn't pay up, might explain all those phone calls to him.

Who cares what LB did for a living? - she's missing. I would not believe any supplementary report added by TPS to this file - funny enough I asked the question a number of pages back - what will TPS add to file and can it be believed?

All any of this nonsense will do, imo, is eventually undermine the Hamilton Police trial against DM.

Nope, he was emphatic that DM was not involved in the sex trade, and seemed completely taken aback when asked about the soft *advertiser censored*, looked like he was hearing it for the first time
