Is this the same truck?
The original source of this photo is Fox News Corp, and the caption was "Marcus on way to lawyers office." Unfortunately, it is no longer linkable.
Coming out of lurk mode to agree with this. I think something happened to Lonzie well before midnight, possibly during the afternoon.
And thank you to everyone for sharing links and info since the beginning - and that last transcription - wow! So helpful!
I travel a lot and really haven't had...
I saw that too, McMunn, and wondered if that was the address the Runions were searching for.
A search in the Telfair County property records for transactions along that road reveal the last name Briley.
"We walk in the legacy of the Runions, because they certainly have left us one." <3

Also: "The couple were killed in a field near suspect Ronnie "Jay" Towns's home."
I could, but I'd be banned. :innocent:
J'ville has a long-time, nefarious reputation among locals in South GA. Things (politics) have changed over the years, but one thing hasn't - at least not from a local perspective: What happens in Jacksonville stays in Jacksonville. Yes, some crimes have...
The property belonging to JT's father, where JT was living, is not in McRae, despite the mailing address.
The red outline is the Towns property; McRae is in the northern part of the county.
I keep telling ya'll that Jacksonville is different. Folks in neighboring areas, who don't live or have...

On Jan 24 at 12:03 am (EST), which would be three minutes after midnight Friday, Sheriff Steverson commented on the Find Bud and June Runion FB page that neither his office or the McRae PD had been contacted by any agencies or family members regarding the missing persons report. He went so far...
gracehatter, it may be. Seems like I read or heard they met at a store too, and it's logical that a meeting place would have been established. I didn't know if it was only speculation that they were found behind a store or if it had been reported -- that's what I was trying to clarify.
Looks like Old Prison Camp Rd is also Hwy 237.
IF the pond on Webb Cemetery Rd across from the Towns property is where the car was found, and IF the Runions were found in this vicinity of Old Prison Camp Rd...
I think this was 100% a premeditated, cold-blooded murder for whatever cash and other valuables the Runions had with them when they arrived in Jacksonville. (I told ya'll about Jacksonville at the beginning!!)
And the idiot(s) thought the phone couldn't be traced.
