Why does it take a case like Jill's to bring perpetrators in? Surely the police have undertaken the rape kit procedure on this poor girl. Sadly, I think they may have been unable to extract DNA otherwise I'm sure they would have their man by now.

I am all up for this because I think we can make a change. Perhaps for crimes in general. So many criminals get out early. Also, I feel strongly that they should be made to pay their way in jail by working in there, but that's another topic for another day.

Surely the best way to stop them re-offending is to simply lock them up for good with hard labour to pay their on way? I despise the idea of using public funding to try and make good people out of these criminals. :moo:
I was thinking to do it online. I've been to http://lobbyists.pmc.gov.au/needs_register.cfm and I think we need a doctor or lawyer to initiate this.
If it's online then it's going to be so much easier to get people to sign it.
Nothing will change if someone doesn't make it change. I will look at how to lobby govt online if anyone is interested? Or is someone here an old hat at that?
