I agree, SeekingJana. I am haunted by this unsolved case and keep checking back to see if anything is stirring. I feel as though lips are sealed out of fear, misplaced loyalty, or both.

Unlike OKand3J's, I have no personal knowledge of Susan's situation. However, I was (briefly) married to a controller, and my guess is that the foods he didn't want her to eat were related to a wish to control her weight. Many controllers belittle women for gaining even small amounts of weight...

Perhaps Cindy was referring to the expense of hiring a lawyer to sue for custody and prove KC's unfitness as a mom. In hindsight, CA probably also knew at some level the emotional 'expense' she would incur; in fact, the cost of even threatening to sue for custody was Caylee's life. Very ironic...
