I think the prosecutor brought out the fact that what CR now says, is different than what many of the witnesses have said they saw or heard. CR can say things over and over, but it doesn't mean that what he says is the truth.....as he has an overwhelming motive to lie because he doesn't want...
I still remember watching the Jennifer Mee murder trial. Once the jury was seated, the trial, deliberations, verdict, and sentencing took a total of one day. Just one.
So much time was spent on the time period of the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s ....it all sounded so much like bragging to me. It's like Mr. Reeves feels like he's better than everyone in the community. No remorse. He maintains that he's the victim. Just my impression after listening this morning...
The defense keeps repeating over and over "it was dark" ....I'm thinking, if it was so dark, then how could his client have aimed and shot Mr. Oulson in the heart? If it was so dark, then how did his client even know what he was aiming at when he pulled the trigger? If it was so dark...
Agreed. I don't see any point where CR was afraid. I do see several points where CR was confrontational and seething with anger due to someone not doing as he directed or ordered.
chuckles....I keep typing here, then reading what I type, and just deleting it all. My parents always taught me that if I had nothing nice to say, then just don't say anything at all. I'm struggling with that right now.
Right, you can't start a confrontation and when things don't go as you want, just pull out a gun and shoot to kill. Shooting two unarmed people was a criminal act.
Again, the defense attorney is not really questioning the witnesses, even in his side of this case. I'm guessing for whatever reason, the Judge is allowing leading questioning due to a prior ruling (I will go back and look to see if I can find that ruling). It sure gives me a bad feeling...
It's not even LE that has caused the delays. It's the Justice System. I think that society has a right to be able to feel safe, and ANYONE shooting inside a movie theater is a danger to society. It should never, ever take this long for a trial to take place.
The law enforcement officer testifying right now, is intentionally raising her eyelids and not blinking during parts of her testimony, thus giving her a crazy appearance. It's sure making me wonder what is going on... and not in a good way.
I'm listening, but am becoming a bit concerned by the defense attorney seeming to be the one telling the story, and only asking that the witness agree with whatever he is saying. It's all in the defense attorney's words, and therefore I just wouldn't give the witness as much credibility as I...
