seven months. I told the sister the news could come any day now. Wish that would actually come true.
Hi Quartzdice! I say keep seeking leads until the day we get a positive match.
This is absolutely blowing my mind right now!!! At first I thought "nah doesn't really look like him" but as I really compared each feature I changed my tune. Now I wanna screen shot these and compare them to the post mortem photos. You may very well be onto something a lot of things line up! I'm embarrassed to admit this but last year I was so obsessed with this case it consumed me. Every night I would go through yearbooks in the Gurnee/Wheaton areas on classmates.com and look at every single HS boy that may have been in the age range at the time. I had 2 really close calls but when I searched for them on Facebook they were alive and well so I knew it wasn't JDD after all. I also never found a single Lauri in those yearbooks.
On a very exciting side note I read about a Rock County WI john doe missing since 1995 and legit the VERY next day I'm scrolling on my Facebook feed and WI Missing Persons Advocacy page had his posted picture right there and announced he has just gotten a dna match!!!! They haven't released his name yet but should next week I think.
Michael Harp is listed as legally blind. I'm not sure how limited 20/200 vision is, but I can't see someone being capable of driving without corrective lenses of some sort with such poor vision.
Based off of what I've read, having 20/200 vision is very limited. From this site:Michael Harp is listed as legally blind. I'm not sure how limited 20/200 vision is, but I can't see someone being capable of driving without corrective lenses of some sort with such poor vision.
Based off of what I've read, having 20/200 vision is very limited. From this site:
"20/20 vision is considered "normal" vision, meaning you can read at 20 feet a letter that most human beings should be able to read at 20 feet.
Eye charts can be configured in various ways, but generally, if during an eye test you can read the big E at the top but none of the letters lower than that, your vision is considered 20/200. That means you can read at 20 feet a letter that people with "normal" vision can read at 200 feet. So at 20/200, your visual acuity is very poor."
So, based off of this information, it definitely would have been extremely hard for him to be driving, especially without correction.
