I think the forensics outside at Poyners Road were looking for her phone as we now know it has not been recovered. Still no idea what they might have been looking for inside though.
I think now it was a ruse to get him lulled into a false sense of security so he would make some kind of move nearer to home etc - jmoo, pure speculation on my behalf.

It would take a large amount of fuel and high temperatures to burn a body (cremations are 1000s of degrees, not hundreds and take place in sealed units, not damp fields) or cover it in chemicals until internal DNA would be destroyed. If he did try these things he would have to be extremely desperate as he would surely know there wasn't much chance of destroying all DNA IMO. Also as in the Libby Squire case, the circumstantial evidence pointed strongly to sexual assault, so he's unlikely to be able to claim otherwise. I think we'll have to agree to disagree on these things really, I'm sure more will come out as we don't have the full picture obviously.

but WC hasn’t been charged with sexual assault....making me think he’s destroyed his DNA somehow.

But true we will have to wait until the trial to find out more.

You don’t just start exposing yourself in public in your late 40’s - this man has definitely been doing this for a while and probably would have continued to do so, but something went wrong this time. I’m not ruling out that he was intent on finding a woman to sexually assault (hire car premed), but I’m still keeping an open mind as to the fact that this was a flashing incident which escalated due to Sarah’s reaction.

I agree l had a quick scout on Facebook and a couple of South London forums for reports of IE but couldn't find any unsolved. The problem is, as was highlighted in the Libby Squires case, this type of crime is not given the gravitas it requires. Often sniggered at and left unreported...but also often a precursor to far more serious crimes. The Green Chain rapist was a peeping tom and 'knicker snatcher'. Then he raped and murdered a mother and her three year old daughter. And that was just for starters.

For the love of God, if your loved ones are subjected to this crime, get them to report it to 101. I cannot emphasise this enough.

Hey everyone, I've done a detailed Timeline for the case, which is fully sourced with media links. It can be updated as we go forward.

I'll be asking a mod to pin it to the first post in every thread so that it's easily accessible.

Please let me know if I've missed out anything major, as long as it is fact based and can be sourced (I've had to stop reading the past couple of threads to get it done, but I've been following the media updates). Please also let me know if you spot any mistakes so that I can correct them.

It's a non-discussion thread to keep it to timeline only.

UK - Sarah Everard, 33, London, Clapham, 3rd Mar 2021 - TIMELINE *NO DISCUSSION*

Just one thing - if you look at the court reports from today I think it says bus cam at 9.32pm and then second bus came at 9.35pm

Just watched the video and I'm not sure its actually her lol

I'm fairly sure it is. She has a discreet security detail with her too.

I know she shouldn't make any difference to all the other people who visited the scene, and I'm not a royalist, but she must have gone to some effort to get clearance to be able to do that and it makes it all the more touching.

Another speculation by me (sorry)... what if WC did actually drive Sarah home to her house (which we think was on a quietish road around Brixton Water Lane) and the attack only happened there, in a much quieter road.. then on to Kent? Might explain why nobody saw any evidence of force etc at Poynders Road. Jmo

Yes I just posted a similar speculation based on several strangely worded reports saying that it wasn't clear whether SE had returned home or not, when surely that's something that would be easy to verify.
Regarding the lack of phone ping there, perhaps WC had disposed of it already and it was no longer there?

At his hearing they said the autopsy was just completed but did not publicly release the results. They can add charges later if they have evidence of further crimes and they feel it would help in their prosecution.

In the Jayme Closs case the state did not charge the suspect with sexual assault out of respect for the victim as they already charged him with murder of her parents and kidnapping. It doesn’t mean it didn’t happen just that they did not think the charges were necessary when the guy was going away for life anyway.

LBC have just mentioned it so it is her

I apologise if this isn’t allowed, I will delete straight away if it goes against rules.
People were asking about the psychological aspect of sexual deviants last night, this documentary is quite an old one but a rare insight into the mind of convicted SO’s discussing their crimes, motives and their MO with a renown Psychologist who specialises in sex offenders. *Quite disturbing descriptions at times of SA, CSA and abuse of positions of trust. But it does give an insight into these types of mind and how they operate. May or may not be relevant to SE’s case as we don’t know much at the moment but I thought others may want to give it a watch.

Thank you. I have the marked police car at 9:32pm, was the bus at the same time? Do you have a link?

JMO MOO:
- WC puts on his hazard lights and pretends his car has broken down
- WC asks SE to borrow her phone to make a phone call to AA
- WC shows SE his warrant card to gain her trust, and tells her he'll give her a lift home
- SE trust WC and gets into the passenger side after giving WC her phone
- WC incapacitates her once inside the vehicle

After this I'm not sure.

If he says his car is broken down then why would he offer a ride home ? JMO

Floral tributes and messages have been laid at the spot where Sarah Everard was last seen as mourners broke down in tears.

But groups of mourners gathered to lay dozens of tributes Clapham Common where Sarah was last seen alive before her disappearance

Not where she was last seen alive, but why let details get in the way of a story o_O

Lovely tributes to Sarah, and I don’t know know whether those distraught mourners are her friends but it’s clear the strength of feeling in this case will bring about a safety campaign, and rightly so.

Well that's enough to reduce me to tears. Will be lighting a candle at 21:30, never done this before but this case has got me in its grasp :(

I find it highly unlikely that he played the “broken down guy” and the “plain clothes cop” in the same role. He had to be one or the other. A broken down on-duty cop with a warrant card needing help from a woman walking past is just ridiculous.

I completely agree with this. IMO there is no need to fake a breakdown. COVID restrictions would justify a stop, especially as SE would be unlikely to know he was a firearms officer.

An alternative theory that crossed my mind was the possibility he pulled over to ask if she’d seen a suspect (robbery, assault or similar) and offered her a lift home to keep her safe. Trusting a policeman in that situation is very plausible.
