Police suggest Croydon Cat Killer may not actually be killing cats at all Who would have access to lots of dead cats?

UK - Reward for identity of the Croydon Cat Ripper. Jan 2016.

Check out this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gV4XqCt1-yQ An interview with SNARL from April 20 2017. Listen to the very end (last 10 seconds) ".... I am now more convinced that you are right, that we are being conned". Seems the host, Jon Gaunt might think it is a load of bollocks.

UK - Reward for identity of the Croydon Cat Ripper. Jan 2016.

I believe every single report of a cat killer victim has come from this SNARL group. How is it that a small animal charity gets called about every single victim? How does an entire population of 65 million people know to call this one charity? With that kind of public resonance, should they...

UK - Reward for identity of the Croydon Cat Ripper. Jan 2016.

Based on that quote from the RSPCA, it sounds plausible that someone is taking random road kill and mutilating the corpses and disposing them to be discovered. But what is to gain by doing this?

UK - Reward for identity of the Croydon Cat Ripper. Jan 2016.

A geographic profile using Rossmo's formula of the initial crimes when the killer was known as the Croydon Cat Killer suggests the perp had an anchor point around South Norwood. http://geographicprofiler.com/crimes/croydon-cat-killer A geo profile of later crimes when the series became...

UK - Reward for identity of the Croydon Cat Ripper. Jan 2016.

Someone is killing and mutilating cats and other animals in the UK. Originally the killings started around Croydon in South London. http://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/8203-map-bodies-dead-mutilated-cats-croydon/story-28348890-detail/story.html Then the killing area widened to include areas...

    Geographic Profiling

Thanks Forager, I've been hacking away at it when I have the inclination and time. I've started watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XOh95x_zFyo, to try and get a better understanding of LISK. It might be worth separating the burlap victims with the dismembered victims, and I'm not so sure...

    Geographic Profiling

margarita25 sent me this thread as I was learning about Geographic Profiling (GP) earlier in the year and have been building a system to do geoprofiles. I've run the dump site coordinates from 1997 - 2008 from shadowraith's map. Rossmo's formula is dependent on the buffer size. As these are all...

    AZ - 9 killed, 2 injured in W Phoenix shootings, April-June 2016 *Arrest*

I've still been messing around with Rossmo and other geographic profiling formulas, it made the news in oz a few days ago... Based on the locations in the ABC15 map, the highest probability area according to Rossmo's Formula seems to be here: Which if you think about it, is kind of ironic...

GUILTY CO - Possible Serial Shooter Has Colorado Drivers on Edge *Arrest* #4

I'm afriad this graph just takes into account the locations, not the order or dates. The geo formulas tend to suggest the crimes start further away from home/anchor and then as time and crimes contine the offender becomes more brazen and offends closer to home. However, NOCO shootings cover such...

GUILTY CO - Possible Serial Shooter Has Colorado Drivers on Edge *Arrest* #4

Here is a graph using Rossmo's formula based on the NOCO shatterings Forager considers most likely to be cause by a serial shooter. The data is from the amazing spreadsheet Forager has put together. The area is huge. Blue areas mean cold and are an unlikely anchor point (home, work etc) for the...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #5

Rossmo is all about the buffer zones. Adjusting this value changes the hots spots. So, I've used the dump spots to help generate a larger buffer value and also included them in the graph, but cropped them from the image due to size. And here is one without the dump sites, just your coordinates.

    AZ - 9 killed, 2 injured in W Phoenix shootings, April-June 2016 *Arrest*

Here is a graph of the shooting scenes (black squares) and the shooter's estimated anchor point (home?, work etc) adapted from rossmo's geographic profiling formula. Blue is cold -> Red is hot. The plot points were taken from the addresses in...

    Australia Claremont Serial Killer, 1996 - 1997, Perth, Western Australia - #5

One of those papers I linked to a couple of weeks ago discussed Rossmo's Formula. I thought I'd have a go at implementing it. Rossmo says you need 5 data points as a bare minimum, where CSK only has 3... Since SS has not been found, any plot is not going to be correct, especially when the sites...
