You may be thinking about the fictional film, staring DiNero, "Killing Season"

The problem with this, or other documentaries, for that matter, is finding a unique name.

I think you maybe thinking of The Killing Fields, which was a series last year in Discover? Or I maybe wrong.
 
Actually, I realize now that it was called "The Killing", not "The Killing Season". Sorry for any confusion.

Unfortunately I don't have access to A&E so I won't be able to watch The Killing Season.

I am on here, but not enough to dig into things. I knew LISK was too complex for me to dig further. Also, it being so far from my backyard. But now here, along with visuals and audio blows me away.

I do have to give props though, to the people on here that never let go of this. I hope they welcome ones who were here who didn't even touch this along with the ones who will come here after this shows.
 
excellent start, Rachel and Josh-- I saw Josh's tweet earlier, and, yes, PB the author is very legit. Shame he felt driven away from here

I bet this is actually the same person. What are the odds that there is one person with access to the department's internet that has edited Wikipedia at random over the course of 10 years (and edits like they are bored at work with nothing better to do) and there is someone else who visits the IP's talk page and happens to discover messages left about the edits. Not very high, IMO.

Here is another edit where they threw in someone's name at random, similarly to the edit featured in the show:

This is nitpicky, I'll admit. But didn't JB come out of his house to tell Shannan's driver to get Shannan because she wouldn't leave? Shannan's driver subsequently went into JB's home and found her huddled behind a couch and on the phone with police. Then Shannon darted out.
Maybe Josh and Rachel wanted to edit out some material that they felt was impertinent?

Well maybe the person doing the PD edits likes to taunt co-workers/ friends and then goes back and changes it back. Maybe that person was teasing the person named as the killer because of the complaints against him.

The edit was made a year prior to the lawsuit being filed.
 
I'm not even fully through the first episode. Shout out to DeeDee! I saw your name on the screen! Was anyone else trying to copy down the names of the 16 missing Craigslist escorts that, that guy with the accent was talking about? The "algorithm". We need to find their identities, figure out why they have stopped advertising and if they're still alive. I assume there's numerous reasons they could be missing. A few are probably in jail, some may be using different names and others could be potential victims! It was hard to pause because the camera went in and out of focus and my DVR shad a delay when I pause it.
 
I think this area is a logical choice for dumping of victims. There are not that many safe areas to operate it appears to me. I think they are looking at two S/K or maybe one that morphed. They learn as they go and as fantasy dictates. The mind does not know fantasy from reality in the mind of a sexual predator. If you study these people they start close to home in a comfort zone as they progress and feel safer they range outward. The web sites make for easy hunting it is a target rich environment. Find the first victim and you will be one step closer to the killer or killers. The burlap is also indicative of someone who works on the water for a living. Many clam and oyster boats as well conk boats will at times use the burlap bags.

I wonder if either one of the Serial Killers from Long Island are watching the show.
